  1. How's the actual panel? I heard some people saying you could like push it in and stuff in the corners.
  2. I only hear bad things about this monitor. Is g-sync really that important? If I ditch getting g-sync I feel I could get different monitors that just seem to be higher quality in the other areas? I don't get how the screens can be as bad as you guys are saying
  3. That monitor doesn't even have a release date. I'm not interested in waiting until after the holidays to get a monitor.
  4. They have me questioning getting either one of them. Should I just get a LG 34UC97-S and give up on getting a monitor with g-sync and higher hz? I just don't want to order one and get it then have issues and not have them fixed and deal with all the issues for months. Is it worth getting the LG or even getting the older Acer HU model?
  5. Yeah I figured LoL would be fine everywhere. I mean I don't plan on ever playing stuff like GTA but I'd like to keep stuff open in the future for other games (like future Elder Scrolls or new MMOs). I mean getting a new graphics card every few years or so isn't a big deal for me but it's more like will it work for CURRENT stuff and for the next year or so without any drawback. Not competitively but I also don't want to intentionally put myself at some type of "disadvantage". I care far more about MMOs/RPGs than shooters, so if shooters is the only type of game that suffers, I'm okay with that. Thanks for the replies!
  6. Hey I've narrowed my monitor down two choices. I've researched pretty much everything else and these two seem like the best options currently. I recently invested in a new PC and went with a 980Ti. I did not go the route of SLI, though I do have the option in the future if I choose to change that, and have some questions regarding how only have that one 980Ti will affect my choice of monitor I WANT to play the games on max settings, I don't want to give that sort of thing up especially investing so much money into this. I know I'll get far lower FPS on some of the highest quality games, but what exactly are those? Will my GFX card w/ a Predator x34 be able to handle the following at max setting w/ AA etc.? And if not, will the new ROG Swift be okay with everything? Games: Elder Scrolls Online FFXIV LoL CS:GO WoW Hearthstone(lol) Skyrim Thanks for the help
  7. Yeah only ordered one Maybe I should just go with the new ROG Swift then.
  8. Hey what graphics card are you using? Just wondering if my GTX 980Ti is good enough for this beast of a monitor Looks beautiful btw
  9. When is it supposed to be released? I thought it was early next year
  10. I'm sure everyone posts something similar but I'm buying a new monitor along with a new PC. I mostly game but I'd rather focus on how the games look rather than necessarily having the fastest response time, so I think I'd prefer an IPS monitor. Price isn't necessarily an issue assuming I get something worthwhile for the price increase. My graphics card will be a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980Ti so I want to get a monitor that can best use this. I'm not entirely sure about curved monitors. Will they work okay with games like League of Legends/World of Warcraft? I play other RPGs and obviously the quality will be more affected in those, but I would like the monitor to work correctly with LoL/WoW. I had it narrowed down to an Acer XB270HU and an ASUS ROG Swift (I know it's TN, but the other stuff seemed exceptional) but I recently discovered the new Acer Predator X34 and the LG 34UC97 curved monitors. They look extremely smooth but have a massively higher price. Is it worth paying more for those? Is it better just to get one a Acer XB270HU or an ASUS ROG Swift? Is there a different monitor superior to those I'm missing in my research? Sorry I'm sure these type of questions suck but basically I want to know which gaming monitor I should invest in assuming little/no price restriction and the type of games I mostly play. Thanks!
