I'm have trouble with my laptop. It's 2.5yrs old. And suddenly it has become slow. Was completely fine till a week back. Now it freezes on stuff. No noticeable difference during games. Launching of softwares and games is considerably slower. The laptop even takes its own sweet time to boot up. Before it is use to be very fast. I have tried to check for virus, using windows defender and Kaspersky. I have checked for drive errors using the built-in software. I have checked for read and write speeds. These do not seem to have been affected. The task manager also does not show any resources being misused. I would request someone to tell me a diagnostic software which could tell me the health of the various components of the system. And identify any runtime errors that may be present. I am trying to find the issue so that I can give it for warranty. I want to minimize the time they would take to fix it. Config 16gb ram 2gb DDR3 950m 1tb hdd(can't remember which, could open and tell) Intel CPU 4720hq

I removed the two screw that seem to be holdng the back plate. But was unable to remove it. I was scared to apply too much force. It is an ASUS ROG G551JX laptop. Is the back plate removable?

This is exactly y i suggested getting a intel core series that comes with integrated graphics.... on board is enough for cs:go.... and he can jst put in a gpu later when he needs. Im indian....saving money is one of my everyday job.'

suggest upgrading the processor and ditching the graphics card. integrated graphics on something like a 5th gen i5 or i3 is really nice for cs:go usage. u will get above medium settings on that. that would also make this a little more future proof. Later at some point he could just put in a graphics card also and boost settings to high. DO NOT SETTLE FOR LOWER PROCESSOR. cs requires more processing power than gpu. U need a screen plus a case in that list.

I love to use design products provided by autodesk. I use them in my college computers. I bought a Asus g551jx recently with 950m 2gb ddr3 and intel 2gb.... 16gb ram and a i7 4720 2.6ghz. Currently after installing the alias products i face an issue of a error message that says u might experience slow graphics performace and stuff. and then when i press show log it shows i7 4720 1 core 1 logical core and under graphics 2gb nvidia 950m 1 gb intel i dnt understand y it does not detect the 4 physical core and 8 logical, and 1gb of the intel dedicated. btw i checked my laptop, its genuine. And its bought from a licensed asus store so i expect the parts inside to be genuine. This is a software issue. plz help me solve.

I have a pair of asus cerbrus. been using them for 5 months. They have started stinking. How do i make the smell go away? will leaving them under burning sun ruin their pads? They have leather pads....i dnt think they are removable....or are they?
