  1. Yes please. I was planning to get the same motherboard with the same processor so any updates are helpful
  2. I'm getting a used 3080ti for my next build playing at 1440p. It's almost 50% off from what it was 1 year ago and performance is definitely more than I require. Should do well for the next few years with my use case.
  3. Did you get it working? Try to rename file to "GIGABYTE.bin" instead of "GIGABYTE.BIN".
  4. @belfouf Thank you for this chart. It's quite informative. Can you detail a bit on what Uncore/Cache/Ring ratio is and what they affect?
  5. @Gonio If I set the multiplier to 47 with current voltage, it crashes when I start Cinebench. Am thinking this particular one is not a good overclocker from what I've read.
  6. Hi, I haven't overclocked anything before so I could used some advice. I have a i7-6700K CPU and solid build all around. Have overclocked it to 4.6GHz and got it stable with 1.375V. Max temp underload is below 70*C and I have a NH-D15 cooler. XMP is enabled with memory at 3000MHz. Should I try to push it more? Is the voltage low/high? What are your thoughts?
  7. Hehe, there was a promotion at razerstore ending yesterday. If you bought for £119, you would get a free Naga Green Limited Edition. That's how I got keyboard + mouse + mousepad with just over £135. The motherboard color was fitting perfectly with the memory, but I will look into Z170-A as well, thanks for that suggestion! Any other thoughts on monitor / graphics card combination? I'm hoping the video card will be able to keep up with the monitor...
  8. Hi, I will buy my new computer this week and this is the component list that I came up with. It will be used for gaming, streaming and web / app development (WoW, LoL, CS:GO mainly, but also some new titles once in a while). What do you guys think? Video card is GTX970 G1 Gaming. I'm not quite sure I need an i7 for this, what is the performance impact for switching to an i5? 9. Hi guys! I am planning a new build which will be used both for productivity (software development and photo editing) and gaming at 1440p. While trying to get more opinions on the build, I have created a guide on pcpartpicker.com and also joined a contest. Can you please share your thoughts and ideas on the parts below? If you are kind enough, you can up vote it. Thank you!
  10. I want it because it is so small I can actually hide it away from my dog, who is a chewing monster and would rip apart a traditional one in minutes. Also, the performance that comes out of it is great.
  11. Data visualization must tell a story. Machine learning might produce it.
  12. I have a lab puppy (5 months old now) and finding a good breeder was a challenge. While browsing for one, I have noticed that most of them (if not all) have very bad designed websites. Maybe you can help out one of them which appeals to you more. Here is a list of French breeders: http://www.europeanlabradorbreeders.com/?page_id=45
  13. Thanks for the suggestion, but earlier on this thread I have mentioned that I will be getting the 5960x for a good enough price. Budget is, as of right now, topped at $1.3k - $1.4k. Why did you pick X99-M WS over Rampage V Extreme? You have also swapped out the CPU Cooler. Any thoughts behind that? Sorry for the questions, I'm new to PC building and would like more insight if possible. Also, I plan on getting SLI Pascal GPU when they come out so that is why I have chosen GTX960 for now. In next summer I also want to upgrade all cooling to custom water loop with acrylic tubing and wanted a case large enough to accommodate pump, reservoir and everything else that is needed.
  14. Hi, I am myself a student in final year of a MSc program and would suggest not to go too wild on the idea unless you are absolutely sure you have the time to research and implement it. My suggestion would be to consume a social platform's API (Twitter recommended) and build something on top of that. You can do attitude detection towards given trends, data visualization tool for trends over time (worldwide) or plain spam detection with classification algorithms (decision tree, random forest etc). I have already done bit of research into every suggested topic so feel free to ask for clarification if you find anything interesting.
  15. I have swapped out a couple of components and decided on this build for now. How do you think all interacts with each other?
