If apple can sue for a rectangle with rounded edge why can't he sue for drawing a rectangle with rounded edges? i'll let that sync

This is actually not bad if the person buying it knows how to root and install a custom ROM.

Kuzma reacted to forthe48 in If you think Carrier bloat is bad, wait till you see Merchant bloat
Agreed. If you can root/unlock the phones, or otherwise disable the ads , then I think it'd be a cool way to save some money. But personally, I think that showing me ads every time I unlock my device over the entire lifetime of a phone is worth more than $50.

Kuzma reacted to Zodiark1593 in If you think Carrier bloat is bad, wait till you see Merchant bloat
Like any PC I put a finger on, the device is my servant. I tell it to do stuff, and it fetches what I specify, when I specify. Ads on my phone run contrary, hence I will not support this initiative.
Suppose I'm a controlling person.

well.. the guys were frauded on their own online store so it's like releasing those keys... probly should've black listed them
I don't believe G2A should be responsible for a company's incompetence of leaking out half a million worth of keys...

Sad but true.

Kuzma reacted to ivan134 in People need to lay off AMD and them needing a new architecture.
The people talkng about needing a new architecture have no idea what they're talking. GCN has been amazing in all its iterations. What has held them back has been drivers. Software is not AMD's strong point.

GPUs are fine for AMD. What we need is Zen!

Right because Bulldozer is still fantastic

Kuzma reacted to LokiFire in People need to lay off AMD and them needing a new architecture.
NVIDIA are no saint when it comes to reusing Architectures, they did it for 3 generations with G80.
Fermi and Kepler are not that much different either, some stuff from Fermi was kept for Kepler, but Kepler also did have some new toys.
AMD can go ahead with another GCN version, there is nothing wrong as at the end of the day the end result is what matters, stop being such cry babies and be cheerful for once you are getting a great product.
AMD have come light years ahead lately and deserve a bucket load of credit.

Kuzma reacted to Vitalius in [PSA] New Windows update breaks dual booting Windows with Linux.
You will most likely not be affected by it, in regards to Elementary OS.
The Windows system will install the partition on the drive that Windows is installed on. And Windows will update the bootloader with where it's new partition is.
The issue with this is that Windows adds a new partition. Grub thinks your Linux partition is (hd0,gpt4), as an example. When Windows adds the new partition, it updates the EFI partition with it's new location, but does not update it for Linux.
So your Linux partition goes from (hd0,gpt4) to (hd0,gpt5) because of Windows' new partition, but that's only if they are on the same drive.

Im a Music Addict and PROUD OF IT! I own an iPhone 5 now and I LOVE IT and if Apple doesn't fix this SHIT... I will NEVER use any of their devices AGAIN. Who cares if its super thin but you have to carry around a lightning to 3.5mm adapter or can't charge while listening to music?!?!?!
-
Kuzma reacted to Toddwjp in iPhone 7 Leaks 'Confirm' Apple Abandoning Headphone Jack
we removed the headphone jack, how is this better you might ask, well your new phone is 0.2mm slimmer but still has a camera bump and you will probably through it in a bulky case, and you didn't care how thin our last phone was, but its better trust is i mean design is way more important then functionality

Kuzma got a reaction from Arcanekitten in Memory Bus size and how it effects your VRAM usage
Introduction:
You may have seen me post around quite a bit telling people not to buy the 4GB variants of the 760, 770, 660 TI or 680 or the 6GB variant of the 7970; this is due to a little factor called the memory bus size it's hard to explain it on a technical level while still making it easy to understand so I'll simplify it down to a real world analogy.
What exactly is the memory bus?
The memory bus is the pathway that your gpu uses to access the memory it has and is generally measured in bits (8 bits = 1 byte :P ) this works together with the memory clock speed to work out exactly how much of the memory can be accessed per second.
So how will it effect my graphics card?
Think of the memory as water and the memory bus as a tunnel, if you need more water than your memory bus will let through then you're going to have to wait a while to wait for that extra water to come through. If your graphics card has memory bus designed for 2GB and your add another 2GB then you've added more water without being able to get that extra water through the memory bus.
What about memory clock?
The memory clock is like the speed of the water, if you increase the speed of the water enough then you can push more water through the small memory bus ^_^ the issue is however that you need a pretty large speed increase to access double the water in comparison to before.
Conclusion
So if you're buying a variant of a graphics card with double the memory then make sure that either the memory clock is increased or you know you'll be able to increase it (gpu boost 2.0) otherwise all that extra memory (and that extra cash) is wasted. Since memory clocks generally aren't very very high a good rule of thumb is 128bits and 1000mhz effective memory clock per gb (this can change to 64bits and 2000mhz and vice versa so make sure you do your math :D to work out if you're going to be able to use all that memory)
P.S.
I thought I'd add in my Titan calculations for any of you mathematicians reading this (attatched as a txt) and by my calculation a titan would need exactly double it's effective memory clock speed to access all 6GB of it's memory that or it's only accessing 3GB of it's memory and since we've already seen the titan use more than that leaving me with the conclusion GK110 only needs half the memory clock to access all the GB which to me is a crazy revolutionary advancement O.o
