  1. Still recommend the 280X with a 6300 over a 760 with a 6350
  2. Your CPU should be more than enough for streaming, especially since streaming applications like Open Broadcaster etc. LOVE cores.

  4. Just tested this out and it's actually quite intuitive (well typing on my hands as if the keys were in their designated positions, only problem is my hands have to practically fold in half to type some of the letters so the positioning could be improved but overall i'm quite excited for this
  5. Search > Start Menu , there's no need for a start menu when the 8.1 search is intuitive enough to instantly find anything you type.
  6. It's actually 31GB but have you SEEN the textures and models close up?
  7. Running my 290 off of an x58 motherboard with PCIe-2.0 16x ad I get scores of 3330~ on Unigine Valley so I'm sure you'll be fine
  8. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm siting here with 3Mbps down and .3Mbps up and I live in Kent...

So, my brother (he's in the military, Ranger in…

I go down to the gym on Fridays after school, Mondays for PE and Fridays for PE and I've got a buddy who does kinda entices everyone to do what he does for an hour, it starts with all 30 people doing it, by the end of the hour there's only 4 of us, including him.
  11. In the UK one 290 costs ~£305 and a 780Ti costs around £500-600.
  12. ._. you're kidding me right?
  13. those are also 4870s.........
  14. And it confirms the Reference cards to run cooler than the custom cards . The VRM is a completely difference thing to the actual GPU chip itself, I hope you do know that... Oh and that's for a 4870...
  15. Upgradeable! Also we're kinda all talking on air until someone pulls up some benchmarks which I cbb to do for once since I'm going to sleep soon.
  16. True but in 75% off scenarios blower is going to be better for crossfire, especially since the OP could potentially get a third 290 if he needed the power within 5 years.
  17. Whilst in crossfire? If you provide me with some evidence I'll happily accept being wrong and the 290 WILL NOT hit 100 degrees Celsius it will downclock itself before it hits that, 94 degrees is it's max.
  18. 94 degrees* Powertune will Overclock or Downclock the 290 until it reaches that temperature, as a 290 user that's tried running the fan on the unbearable speed of 100% to see if it made a difference to the temperatures, it will not. EDIT: Until you have hands on experience with the 290 please don't advise against it because of "temps". It's actually quite nice having a hot GPU with a cold room as opposed to the other way around since the heat is not dissipated into the environment.
  19. Blower design cards are always better for crossfire.
  20. Oh and two 290s, in games that don't support Crossfire you'll perform very close to a 780Ti and in games that support Crossfire you'll curb stomp it.
  21. NO. Crossfire is better with the reference cooler.
  22. The thing is even with a stupid high pixel density like 1600x1200 at 17inches, I still notice the difference between all the AAs and between SSAO and HBAO etc. it bothers me so turning down settings is not something I would like to do, I'm more likely to turn down my resolution (provided it still looks reasonably sharp so square pixels e.g. lowering a 4K display to 1080p or a 1440p display to 720P before I turn down settings) than turn down settings because of this.
