  1. Hello I have a project to do on my future as that I am in my junior year of High school. I am in Sports Medicine but the career i chose was to be a computer programmer or a Aerospace engineer(keep in mind i chose something that sounds interesting while doing this god forsaken project). But at the moment I am stuck because I don't really know if computer programming is "Electronics", "Engineering Drafting and Design", or "Engineering and Technology" This is the website I have to use, it includes classes that I will be doing for Freshman, sophomore, junior, senior year of college and how many hours the classes. http://www.gadoe.org/Curriculum-Instruction-and-Assessment/CTAE/Pages/Programs-of-Study.aspx I just really need to know if a computer programmer is one of those three...
  2. yea i just contacted dell, they are sending a replacement. TY! Edit: Could you help me with choosing a GPU/CPU? I want a gtx 1060 6gb but idk if it compatible with my mother board.. and with a CPU what should I look for? I only have a core i5-6400 with 2.70GHz. I'm planning on playing Monster Hunter World if that makes any difference.
  3. I was looking on the dell site and they have 2 different kinds of support, PRO and IT, whats pro .-.
  4. Yea, I plugged it into different DVI Slots, still doesnt work. I reset PC, doesnt work. I change cables, doesnt work. Should i call Dell?
  5. Um.... theres a DVI port where my USB ports are, can i use that? Also Could it really be my GPU if my primary monitor is working fine?
  6. @Light-Yagami I turned off the pc, switch the dvi ports of the 2 monitors and the problem has not changed at all
  7. ...would i need to turn off my computer in order to switch them? cause i would really like to respond immediately.
  8. I'm sorry, i cant quite wrap my head around what you are saying... does this apply to what you are saying by any chance- Yesterday, i took out the hdmi cable and switched it with the other monitor and when i switched it, I still had the same problem. Its only the Dell monitor thats having a problem, not my primary monitor. (if this is not it im sorry)
  9. as in the HDMI cable? I did that earlier, I switched the hdmi cable and it still doesnt work. Even when i pulled the hdmi cable plug the monitor was still doing the same thing.
  10. Hello, I have recently bought a second monitor, a Dell 24' Monitor - S2718NX a week ago. For the past few days it has been working exactly as I would have liked it to work. But now, at 2:33am there has been some moving lines going up. At first they would go up to the top, but now it goes to the middle of the screen and starts jittering. I looked up online that dust can create this, so I cleaned my computer from all the dust. After cleaning it is still doing this. When I shut my computer down to clean the computer, it said "no HDMI signal from your device." When it said that I also checked the HDMI cable and it was secured tightly into the monitor and the back of the computer. Do you guys know anything that causes and would fix this? Ty. I have provided a picture on what it looks like. (sorry if it doesn't help or isn't that great.
  11. Just switched the 2 cables, still the same problem. Even when i unplugged the hdmi cable, the lining from the computer screen(same image from above) was still going on without the cable.
  12. Even if the monitor was fine and everything was working in the first place? And how would I check if the hdmi cable is bad?

  14. Hi, I recently just put up 2 monitors, I would like to use 1 for gaming, the other for web browsing etc. Problem is, whenever i open (for example) google chrome on my second monitor, it opens up on my main monitor, not my 2nd. Is there any way to fix this ? My monitors Asus - MX259H 25" IPS LED FHD Monitor and Dell 24 Monitor - S2418NX
  15. Hey sorry again, I was looking at the monoprice 4K monitor, it says that it is a ahva panel. Would you prefer this monitor over the one I listed?
  16. Dang so it’s isnt a ips panel? And what is vesa? And if it is 1080p , I’m fine or would I have to go higher?(sorry not good with monitors as you can see)
  17. Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum!!! My birthday is near and I would like to have a second monitor, this monitor i would like to have it under 200$ I would like an IPS monitor but I'm having trouble finding one that is to my liking while also fitting the price range. The best one I could find was this one https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-cf591-series-c27f591fdn-27-led-curved-fhd-freesync-monitor-silver/5044701.p?skuId=5044701 problem is, its a curved monitor(some people say it isn't good for gaming, plus i never had a curved monitor before). Should I keep a flat or go with this curved monitor? I was watching videos and apparently it can go higher in Hz with a AMD card(I have nvidia) The games I play are PUBG, DOTA 2, Destiny 2 for now. What do you guys think?
  18. yea, but my brother and his friends use discord
