  1. http://www.dell.com/ed/business/p/dell-s2417dg-monitor/pd This one. The Dell S2417DG 24 inches, 1440p, 144(or 165hz) with G-Sync. Blacks are pretty deep for an LCD panel, and the colors are good enough. Viewing angles are a little meh, but honestly not that important for a monitor. Regularly goes on sale for like 300-350 dollars/ Now what I don't like about the monitor use the use of glossy plastic. Other than that its fantastic IMO.
  2. That doesn't sound slow at all. It looks pretty normal to me. HDD to SSD is bottlenecked by the HDD so you won't get SSD speeds, and anywhere from 80-90MB/s sounds pretty normal for a HDD to HDD transfer, and those 20-30MB/s dips sound pretty normal as well. What kind of performance were you expecting from a hard drive?
  3. Are there any downfalls to running windows 10(via bootcamp) off of a samsung t3? If so, what are these downfalls? Are they significant? I do most of my computing work on Mac OS, but I'd like to have a windows drive for playing games.
  4. The oil from your head that rubs on the headphones are bad for your display's coating, so that method is not recommended.
  5. Thank you for the information. I guess the cable really was the issue then. Would getting an active adapter help? (Active Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 adapter) and then use a regular HDMI cable.
  6. No. All it does set it at an unscaled 3840x2160 @30hz.
  7. It works just fine in windows 10. It just doesn't seem to work on Sierra.
  8. I'm trying to hookup my mid 2014 MacBook Pro(GT 750m) to my 4k samsung TV. The TV itself has HDMI 2.0 support(KU6300) and I know my MacBook Pro doesn't support HDMI 2.0, and only HDMI 1.4. So I'd need to use the mini display port to get UHD@60hz. So I bought a cable that does mini display port to HDMI (not sure on the number for the HDMI). When I run windows, I can set the resolution to 3840x2160 at 60hz through the Nvidia drivers, I don't have to create a custom profile or anything, 60hz is there as an option. But when I try to use MacOS sierra, I can only get 30hz. I think its weird that I can get 60hz in windows, but on MacOS. Would Getting a HDMI 2.0 cable help? This is what my window looks like in Mac OS http://imgur.com/a/ZVdPO
  9. If you don't even have a computer powerful enough to run games at 4k, then why waste money buying a 4k monitor? especially with g-sync. Just grab a QHD/1440p monitor with g-sync. Or better yet, just upgrade your computer.
  10. For 100 dollars, they're nothing special. I never said they sounded bad, they're just not great for 100 dollars. And in the end, personal preference plays a good role. You can see this in r/headphones, lots of people don't like the 598 Cs, while another group like them.
  11. Yes I own them. Picked them up for 99.99 + tax on Black Friday from amazon. I'm not even comparing them to my HD650s, the 598Cs don't really sound better than my 558s. It's louder for sure, but I can't confidently say they sound any better. Definitely not worth the regular price of 150 in my opinion. I also have a pair of ATH m50s, as well as beyerdynamic DT 770's both of which sound better IMO. Though I hate the m50s because they're uncomfortable IMO.
  12. 598Cs, they actually don't sound very good for the price you pay.
  13. 32GB and 16GB isn't really apple's fault though, its the buyer's fault for being too cheap or too poor.
  14. Apple will never sell me a square watch. I liked the gear s2, but it kind of looked like a toy IMO. Gear s3 is a smartwatch that I really like. Tizen seems to be much better than android wear in terms of battery life, and if the gear s2 is anything to by, I'm sure the gear s3 will be just as smooth. Hoping samsung will let iPhone users buy their watch soon.
  15. No, given time, we would still have had them. Older media will always converge with newer a newer medium to stay relevant. This has been the case since the first medium. You think e-books happened because people stole books from book stores? No, it was just a case of an old and physical medium converging with a newer digital medium.
