Well, knowing how things works helps. Not really something we can just tell you here (for several reasons).

HPWebcamAble got a reaction from Railgun in A very interesting question...
So instead of opening the folder to run the program, you want to just double click on the folder to run it or something?

    What about a shortcut

Very expensive. A $150 MOBO will be just as good. And there's no reason to get a P2 power supply, the G2 series is just as good and a bit less expensive. Thermal paste is really expensive. Some arctic V silver (around 5 bucks or something) would be just fine.

Other than that, pretty really good.

Well, maybe the case. I assume this means you'll be upgrading the parts inside. No way any component will still be relevant in 10 years, unfortunately.

HPWebcamAble reacted to AresKrieger in Why Is There No Standard for Save Data on PC?
It's the developer's fault, however you can change it's save location if you make a symbolic link

HPWebcamAble reacted to Mira Yurizaki in Why Is There No Standard for Save Data on PC?
Consoles are easy because the manufacturer demands that you must do it their way or the highway. Windows doesn't have this luxury because of the amount of access developers have to the system. You're supposed to put it somewhere in My Documents, but nothing's really stopping you from writing to %APPDATA%, My Music, or even the C:\, because hey, if your account has write access, you may as well abuse it.

However, I found most (like 99.999%) save game data resides in the entirety of the C:\Users\[username] folder, except one company whom I swore off for a while: Ubisoft. They save the games where UPlay is installed of all places.

Also any games on Steam that use DOSBox will probably save it to where the game is installed because DOS was all over the place at the time and that was usually where the game saves were.

HPWebcamAble reacted to SkilledRebuilds in I could use some explanation of the MSI Afterburner OSD items please.
You can also just as easily google/youtube those terms.
    "MSI OSD Guide"
And watch various video's, they will take you through it all and what things mean (in more details I hope)

HPWebcamAble got a reaction from Bleedingyamato in I could use some explanation of the MSI Afterburner OSD items please.
Yes, the memory refers to VRAM The individual CPU1, CPU2 etc graphs are for a single core. The "CPU" (no number ones) are an average Windows uses some RAM too you know What would VRAM usage match GPU usage? They're different components that serve different purposes I don't think so Nothing to worry about. OSD means On Screen Display (one of the other tabs) by the way

HPWebcamAble reacted to MoonlightSylv in What do you guys think about siliconlottery.com?
I wouldn't do it unless you're doing extreme overclocking like LN2, Phase Change, or dry ice.

HPWebcamAble reacted to evilarceus in What case does linus use on his PC?
A rack mount case is a case that goes in a rack, self explanatory . It is often used in a server environments, and people usually just hide their racks in a closet or something for noise reduction, which is the approach Linus wanted to make with his PC.

Could I recommend an i3-4170 instead? You wouldn't need a fancy cooler or Z170 mobo and could save money there to put into other parts. You could also go skylake and get an i3-6100.

Wait 24 hours. Not much anyone around here can do anyway, but if it's still happening in 24 hours, we can be sure it's on your end and not Rockstar's

HPWebcamAble reacted to Electronics Wizardy in How much is too much? My motherboard supports 9 fans. Is this layout overkill?
Go easy on the fans. All you really need is a front intake or two and a rear exhaust fan. It wont make a difference to have more.

Its ok everybody makes mistakes it not so big of a deal since both are good mobos but really depends what color scheme he wants to go with since they are pretty much same but the color is different, unless he really needs those 2 ports

HPWebcamAble got a reaction from pebble guy in Samsung 950 Pro m.2 Worth It?
It's faster, might last longer. Not worth it IMO, unless you edit 4k footage or something.

Note that the speed is only apparent in heavy load tasks, like 4k editing.

HPWebcamAble reacted to _JohnB330ci in Maxed Out $400 Gaming Build.
Probably something like a FX 6300/I3 and a low end GPU, I'd advise (Before I did a parts list) that you try to increase your budget more, to allow for more upgrade ability in the future, preferably to around $600

What is your budget? Just saw your last message. Are you in the United states?

Those are two separate companies... you know that right?
(They're GOOD companies, but separate... there's a lot of terms but you'll get it all eventually!)

On a 60hz monitor (which you probably have), there's no difference between 60 and 150 FPS. There IS a difference between 30 and 60 FPS though. A decent system can maintain 60 fps which'll seem really smooth compared to 30 FPS.
