Unsure of what the question is... Are you looking to upgrade it to make games more playable? 'Cause you're pretty limited.

More RAM is nice, I'm gonna go ahead and assume you don't have a load so adding more may help, plus DDR3 is fairly affordable now.

Beyond that? I've no idea if you can fit a better CPU, although I highly doubt it. The 2014 is too old to have Thunderbolt 3, you're stuck with TB2 so an eGPU is also out of the question.

I've not played Roblox but I understand it's very poorly optimised, I'd suggest another game (I can even run Minecraft on an awful Atom powered laptop) but obviously that would be a dick move.

TL;DR - Might just be time to upgrade the whole rig tbh.

No but that's what it may have been used for, with a modded BIOS

This guy right here, a Pentium 4 630. I had some sort of crazy GPU with a red shroud and a dragon. It looked really tacky, and I never found out what it was (I think it was something around the HD3xxx generation). But it never worked, so I ran off the integrated graphics. Several years later, I found out that PCIe was disabled in BIOS...

I mean I have 4GB on my laptop, but that's running an Atom so it has plenty of other issues (Photoshop still works though!).
I actually used one in a job I used to have, which was purely Photoshop. It only really accelerates some of the tools and the smooth scrolling/zoom refresh levels. Most of the main tools, and Photoshop itself, don't use it anyway.

I'd still suggest going higher though, it doesn't cost much extra and is good for higher resolutions and general future proofing.

No that's the VRAM i'm pretty sure. But, OP, for God's sake get more than 4GB of system RAM

So what? Users of top end GPUs will be able to afford beefy PSUs anyway. So long as they can manage to cool it well enough to keep it acceptable and not sound like a jet engine, who cares? I'm personally fine for high power use on the top end cards, provided they have the grunt to match.

Uhhhh and there's a point buying this? Like I'm a big believer in high core count chips, I need them for work and it's why I run a Xeon in my PC.
In saying that, why would you want one of these and not a Xeon? They're a bit cheaper sure, but if you can afford this you can probably afford (and justify) a real workstation chip. Threadripper makes more sense because it's likely a fair bit cheaper, so could actually be within reach for a normal human.

It's not a big deal. If you were a bank, a business or some other juicy target then it would be worth the effort spent breaking in but hackers don't really focus on random people unless they know you.
Risk vs reward and all that. Like someone might be tempted to hack someone super wealthy, in the hopes of getting their credit cards etc. But if someone were to get mine, they'd just find their transactions declining same as me.

I don't play CS:GO, but seeing as it works out about 1,000% worse than my 470... Things would be bad  It's literally a display adapter, since my Xeon has no graphics  I might try a couple games on it for a laugh though.

Portal (the original) is running at 30-40 on max... And that's about all that would launch. Witcher 3 failed, Forza Horizons 3 wanted DX12 and Dishonored 2 took several minutes to even appear... This ain't happening

EDIT: Witcher 3 just needed some time. It hit 2fps a couple times...

Lol a local news outlet has run a story on the outrage of forced upgrades, since the iPhone 5/5c won't be able to upgrade. Forgetting to mention that these Five year old phones don't even support 64bit, and will still run for years anyway.

But I think this is great, trim away obsolete features so we don't have a huge, bloated OS trying to support a decade of devices. This is one of those cases where Apple's willingness to make older devices "obsolete" is actually a good thing, otherwise you end up with something like Windows which has to try and support all kinds of legacy junk while still attempting to provide modern features.

My FX was great for a low-budget 3d rendering machine a few years back, but I found a Xeon for an awesome price and double the thread count.

The 9590 was a nightmare, but most of the FX line really weren't that hot. My 8320 @4.2GHz ran in the high 50's with just a 212 EVO with like a 20 ambient, and that was under load. The only problem is AMD gave it a really low max temp (65 ish) which meant that, although it wasn't that hot, it wasn't ideal for the chip.

It will definitely run Forza at 4k60fps. Racing games are actually fairly easy to run, graphically speaking. The world shadows can all be baked in, or even rendered at the loading of the map and there's very little need for draw distances longer than the straight on a track. Where an open world game would try and give you possibly miles of scenery, Forza can hide it all behind walls, trees and grandstands. The only thing it has to work hard on is your own car (opponents usually are rendered at lower quality, since distance, motion blur and speed tend to obscure them anyway) and the physics.
Also, glad to see it coming to PC unlike previous Motorsport versions of Forza.

Nuclear war is probably the most likely. Mass disease is also fairly likely, but there will probably still be at least some people left after that (i.e. the Black Plague).
