1) As I said, $130 was the ASKING price and I haggled down to $105 2) It's not a card it is an animation cel. As in it is one of the actual pieces of celluloid that had the art carefully painted onto it and was then layered over other celluloid sheets, such as the background. to make a complete image and then photographed to make a frame of animation. It quite literally is a piece of the animation process that has been resting in a bag for some 19 years since that episode was produced. I imagine you think it is card because there is a piece of cardboard behind the celluloid sheet to protect the paint on the back and to allow you to act as a background on an otherwise transparent medium.

It's really not so bad. I took out $700 from the bank just in spending cash to ensure I never had to hit an ATM at the con. I'm a fan of Cardcaptor Sakura, I'm a fan of the pre-digital animation process, it's from the final episode and it has four main characters on it. Plus one signature that is personalized to me so far. Of course NOW I need to get the proper means to display it, including a UV filtering frame to ensure the sunlight never harms it. So, on Friday I got an animation cel from Card Captor Sakura featuring Tomoyo, Sakura, Kero and Li. This is from the final episode of the original TV series no less. ...Saturday I spent over an hour in line to get the cel autographed by Junko Iwao who voiced Tomoyo. I guess now I need to collect the other cast members.

I don't think it was ever intended to have people PURELY talk about LGBT issues.

I mean, I'd argue that as long as the people in this thread are mostly LGBT thread, it's more or less on the rails that was originally intended.

That said, I feel like it's a dated slur? Like if I see someone say 'That's gay' to something they don't like I just think they sound like a 14yo edge lord. But someone goes 'Those queers, ugh' I'm like 'Oh lookie! Mr 1970's is bringing out the CLASSIC slurs! This guy has NO need for your modern, Urban Dictionary bullshit, he's got dated word usage! :O'

I imagine it depends on where someone grew up and the connotation used when they were used to hearing it. With it's rather long history as being used PURELY as a slur, so how you saw the word used will heavily influence your usage preference. It's not like 'Gay' where someone uses it as an insult because they think HOMOSEXUALITY is bad, but the word itself wasn't purely used as a slur to certain people.

It doesn't MEAN anything it's just a series letters in a 'cool sounding arrangement' and they've used others in the past. Like the GT, GS, GTS, or SE. They use them to denote some things about different SKU models but they don't have an actual definition themselves. Especially since every card is 'GTX' except for the GT 1030.

Developers ALREADY take a look at the 'current state' of gaming hardware and make decisions and optimizations based on their own hardware targets and what resource they have for optimization. Of course you ALSO see that as not being universal. For example, something like Farcry 5 banks on higher graphical fidelity so it has a higher average level of hardware that focus on. On the other hand, you see something like Overwatch where they want there to be a low barrier to entry, hardware wise, for everyone to enjoy it's mechanics so it'll run on almost any toaster. And yeah, there's also the huge question of how much MONEY a dev has to spend on optimizations.
