    x470 motherboard issue

Shit, I didn't see that. Well shit. thats an expensive paper weight. :( Is there a way of putting the socket back on?
  3. Hi All. Bought a motherboard on an online auction site https://www.johnpyeauctions.co.uk/lot_details.asp?l=3&loc=1&pageno=1&lotid=4781304 However, it looks like the arm to secure the cpu is missing? Will this affect it at all? More to the point can I rip a lever off another amd board and jerry rig it to work? Many thanks George

    Should i replace my ssd?

Have a look around on the web and see what people are getting lifetime wise Its like a car engine for example. Could go bang at 1k miles or 100,000 miles depending on many factors No need to panic mate That's what warranty is for

    Should i replace my ssd?

You have 67gb Free out of the available 120gb drive. Every HDD/SSD has a finite number of read/write cycles. Nothing lasts forever But your drive is still good. I believe ADATA has a 3 year warranty anyway

    New PSU

Judging by my build that I linked, with respect I am not going to pair a £40 cheap psu with a 1080ti. Something top tier. Minimum gold eff

    New PSU

Money isn't much of an issue. If I have to spend £100+ on a good psu then i'll do it! If there is a good deal at £80 on a solid psu then I'll go with that Mate, it has enough data for you to recommend me something

    New PSU

Hi Guys I made a thread a few weeks ago my PSU could be faulty. Basically when I run games at max settings my computer restarts. I've narrowed it down to the psu as I've tested with other parts etc Link to my specs- PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU Intel - Core i7-6700K 4 GHz Quad-Core Processor £269.59 @ Overclockers.co.uk CPU Cooler Corsair - H100i v2 70.69 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler £109.09 @ Amazon UK Motherboard MSI - Z270 GAMING PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard £137.23 @ CCL Computers Memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory £107.99 @ Aria PC Storage SanDisk - Ultra II 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive £77.78 @ CCL Computers Storage OCZ - TRION 150 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive £85.53 @ Amazon UK Video Card MSI - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11 GB GAMING X Video Card Case Phanteks - Enthoo Pro M Acrylic ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply EVGA - SuperNOVA GS 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Optical Drive Samsung - SH-224DB/RSBS DVD/CD Writer Operating System Microsoft - Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit £84.97 @ Laptops Direct Wireless Network Adapter TP-Link - TL-WN781ND PCI-Express x1 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi Adapter £11.99 @ AWD-IT Case Fan Corsair - Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition 37.85 CFM 120mm Fan £12.18 @ Amazon UK Case Fan Corsair - Air Series SP120 PWM Quiet Edition 37.85 CFM 120mm Fans £34.68 @ Kustom PCs Case Fan Noctua - NF-A14 PWM 82.5 CFM 140mm Fan £22.03 @ CCL Computers Other Custom PSU Cables £100.00 Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total £1053.06 Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-11-28 21:19 GMT+0000 Can anyone recommend me a good MODULAR PSU?
