  1. I don't care about refresh rate, I don't think it really matters that much and doesn't make that much of a difference. Atleast I cannot tell the difference of playing on 144hz & 60hz (CS:GO)
  2. Hey, I fell in love with the Ultrawide screens a while back but I didn't notice that there were more affordable options like the LG 29UM67-P, but it makes me wonder. Are these screens dedicated for a workstation or should they fit for gaming aswell, as the LG 29UM67-P supports FreeSync I suppose it should be okay. But it never hurts to ask right, hence why I am asking. If you don't think this monitor is suitable for gaming or you have a better alternative (preferable around that price) please feel free to comment Kind regards, Pruxis
  3. So I recently moved onto from Windows to Ubuntu because I only play native running Linux games such as cs:go etcetra, and I wanted to see how I like Linux So far it has been great I love it Apart from this which I cannot really find a good answer on that has helped me on google. I tried a few fixes though on 'solved' threads from before but it doesn't seem to work. I get the following error: The following packages have unmet dependencies: libcheese-gtk23 : Depends: libclutter-gtk-1.0-0 (>= 0.91.8) but it is not going to be installed Depends: libcogl15 (>= 1.15.8) but it is not going to be installed libcheese7 : Depends: libclutter-gst-2.0-0 (>= 0.10.0) but it is not going to be installed Depends: gstreamer1.0-clutter but it is not going to be installed libclutter-1.0-0 : Depends: libcogl-pango15 (>= 1.15.8) but it is not going to be installed Depends: libcogl15 (>= 1.15.8) but it is not going to be installed libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 : Depends: libglapi-mesa:i386 (= 10.1.3-0ubuntu0.4) Recommends: libgl1-mesa-dri:i386 (>= 7.2) E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages. And I have installed each and one of the dependencies with sudo apt-get install. I already did sudo upgrade, auto-remove etc. And yet I still get this error when using Steam
  4. I just did a quick check and all those settings are correct, I didn't have time to make some screenshots because I have to leave for work so I could only make a quick peek. Is it possible that my motherboard is at the end of it's lifetime? Eventho it's only 2 years old ?
  5. I wonder what games actuality run decent on Linux, because I have been interested in installing Linux on my main machine but I wouldn't want to sacrofice all the games I play in order to use Linux over Windows I (sometimes) play the following games: - League of Legends - Counterstrike Global Offensive - TERA - World of Warcraft - Singleplayer games like GTA V, Fallout 3, ...
  6. So after updating my computer that I have been using for the past year that I built myself from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 Pro N version. I have been getting some really weird problems and things that come up. If I try to boot up in the morning my pc would have these quick bursts and flashes of the pc attempting to boot up but it seems like it's failing for some reason, that'll hold on for 30 seconds. After that stage it'll be stuck on a black screen for a while until I see that it's booting up the BIOS screen (where you can press DEL to enter it). Then it'll still be stuck on a black screen for a while showing the error (A7) Me FW Downgrade - Request MeSpilLock Failed. After a while it'll just boot up Windows 8.1 and I'll be able to use my computer just fine. If I leave my computer for about 3 hours alone it'll just be a black screen when I come back and eventho I click thousands of keys or move my mouse and spam click it wont go back to Windows and just pressing the power button wont shut it down, I'll actuality have to force it. On shutting down it'll shut down Windows 8.1 just fine but then the computer will still be running a black screen and I'll have to force shutdown it once again. I went to a friend to play some games and then when I plugged my computer in it was just like it returned out of sleep mode and my facebook, skype and steam was still open like the way I left it there. I have tried updating my BIOS, it help (I don't know if I successfully did it, because there isn't like any confirmation of it if you install it by flashdrive) and I cannot use the 4th Generation Software provided by Asus because it doesn't support my platform (I think this is caused because I am using the N version, eventho I have installed some updates that install the media software etc.) I have tried updating my Intel ME software, it also doesn't support my platform. I have no idea what I can do My specs are: Mobo: Asus Maximus VI Impact CPU: Intel i5 4670k RAM: 8gb Corsair Vengeance PSU: Bequiet! L8 500W GPU: MSI GTX 760

  8. Would it have anything to do with that I have the N version of Windows?
  9. Downloading now, I hope it works ^^ EDIT: It does not, it says my system does not meet the requirements
  10. Lately I have been having boot issues and receiving the End of Point error and to solve it I read somewhere that I should update my bios drivers but the requirement to install that (Asus Impact IV) is to have Intel ME installed. But apperantly I cannot find an installer that works for Windows 8.1 Pro N Someone knows a solution? Kind regards, Pruxis
