The sad part about this really is the YouTube Channel.
 
Honestly NCIX Tech Tips was superior to Linus Tech Tips for a while.
Ever since LTT "evolved" to the super high quality standards, but lowered their information value down to "it depends!" and "we are not gonna step on anyones toes, even if it is Satan itself!". On .Every. Single. Video.
 
Pretty to watch, but also useless 9/10 times.
 
It was such a plesure to get daily actual information from NCIX and i really, really miss Netlinked daily. It was just a short daily burst of real tech informations, presented in a funny way. When it went away i realized how lacking LTT became in comparison in the past year or two.
 
So i am sad,...like really sad. Even tho i don't live near any NCIX Store and never considered buying from that horrible web page.

Nope, it was still running, until the very last episode where Keys said goodbye. 

Such a lazy smartphone review once again. Why didn’t he touched the selling point of the LG V30 which is manual camera controls for video recording?

Seems like in every video where Linus has problems, the edits are done so skip how he solved the problem and go immediately to the conclusion...frustrating when you want to know *HOW* Linus solved the problem...

I'm hesitant after the first season.
The thing that I didn't like about the first season was every single little thing in Grand Tour felt like it was scripted.
Like if there was a challenge it felt to me like they had already planned what place everyone was going to get, where/how they were going to have a "problem", what they would say in response ect.
While they did some of this in Top Gear for sure it seemed far more egregious in Grand Tour.
I'd be perfectly happy if a segment was just be them doing whatever it is they planned and them talking to the camera/ each other about what is on their mind, about their cars, where they are or what they are going and if nothing goes wrong then so be it.

If I’m honest, I’m not that excited. I loved Top Gear with the guys, seeing celebrity guests, etc. 
 
Season on one of Grand Tour was okay but it got kind of boring, and the killing celebrities thing was funny at first but then I just got disappointed that there are no real guests. 
 
All it does is make me miss the old Top Gear more. 
 
Hopefully Season two is better.

I like how he completely ignores the wide angle lens on the camera, a useful feature despite how everyone else is going with telephoto lens.  Way to be thorough Linus!

In low light it lacks behind some phones, no arguing there, however pictures in bright light, as well as video recording, compared to other vastly more detailed reviews which said they are "top notch", "excellent" or " superb", I have yet to see a review which says it doesn't match flagships or someone that calls it a turd.  
This was one of my main issues with G5 review. Linus said the camera was bad, and showed only 1 picture. It's pretty much the same here. I'd like to hear more reasons why it's bad not up there.

Don't change it, just disclose it. Talk with luke about it maybe. As long as it's disclosed and it's not violating the amazon affiliate rules, seems like an easy harmless way to make money.

This is sad A core # increase wasn't possible in 7 previous generation (Nehalem to Kaby Lake) but it's possible to double the core count in 2 gens now that AMD actually offers competitive CPUs?

I highly doubt anyone would rely solely on a bunch of random people to choose their next phone; they'd definitely watch and read other reviews, but personal experience is worth so much more than a review.

Even though you may have had a poor experience in the past, used is the best option at this price point.
I'd suggest reddt.com/r/hardwareswap, as I've bought and sold 32 items (from 5-1200 dollars) with no issue.
 
With that said, I'd look for:
a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon
MacBook Air
XPS 13 (they occasionally can be found in your price range)
or Alienware 13
 

Well on a pc $500 is just the tower, no peripherals included.  With a console there's a tv, with a pc there's a monitor, mouse and keyboard.  Performance may be different, but the comparison is kinda justified for the "barebones" tower

yeah i'm kind of embarrassed for indulging him going back and forth in the chat. it was blown out of proportion. I can't believe linus tech tips had to step in and say something lol. anyway, i apologize for the immaturity. i currently have both phones in my possession (pixel 2xl and razer phone) I'm going to use each phone for about a week or two as my daily driver then make my final decision. i know the pixel 2 is overall the better phone, with the camera and software updates, but that 120Hz screen and front speakers are so seducing lol. it's a hard decision to make. first world problems OP! lol
