  1. Fan curve seems to be fine, it reaches 95%+ fan speed pretty quickly because of the high temps. There does seem to be a small difference in fan speed from the data and i can only see two fan readouts when there is three fans on the card, not sure if that's normal. All the fans are spinning though. Don't know if that would be enough to make it that hot.
  2. So i tried my luck at buying a used GPU from eBay and things are not looking so great. It's a Asus RoG Strix 2070 Super Advanced and temperatures are reaching 85c + while gaming. Before i send it back, i want to know what problems there could be besides bad thermal paste that may be causing this issue. My previous Asus RoG Strix 1070 OC card hit about 65c-70c at the max. An extra 20c more does not seem normal unless im missing something about these newer cards. I'm using the same case and fan setup so airflow is basically the same, only thing i changed was the CPU Fan. Before i used a Cryorig H7 with one fan and now im using a Noctua NH-D15 with 2 fans. 3. Yeah i had G-Sync enabled and V-Sync off globally, but i think i just fixed my issue for good! Took a look at the Nvidia Control Panel Settings again and went under Display > Change Resolution > Refresh Rate and saw that it was at 60Hz instead of 144Hz... Wouldn't have guessed this was the issue cause I've played at higher than 60 FPS and didn't seem to have any screen tearing. I'll test this out on more games, but hopefully this was the fix i needed.
  4. Recently i had upgraded my 1080P 60Hz monitor to a 1440P 144Hz G-Sync Monitor (Dell S2716DG) and noticed in some games i was getting a lot of screen tearing when i was between 60-144 frames. A little confused on why this is happening. I've been able to fix the issue using out of game settings in Nvidia Control Panel with V-Sync, but as far as im aware, using V-Sync introduces a bit of input lag? Would like to avoid as much input lag as possible. I thought the whole point of G-Sync was to avoid having to use anything that would cause more input lag and have the Monitor do all the work to keep things smooth. Shouldn't G-Sync pretty much work out of the box? What am i missing? PS: Already tried searching the web & these forums for a clear answer, but no luck. Thanks for the help in advance.
  5. Hi, i'm building my new PC right now and i have a total of 7 fans including my CPU cooler. Im using the Asus Maximus IX Hero MoBo. Doesn't seem like there is enough chassis headers... Is it possible to use some of the Pump headers or High Amp header for the rest of the fans?
  6. Yep, i read that earlier. My original post still stands, do you actually have any suggestions?
  7. Building a new PC very soon (Already ordering the parts) and im looking to jump to 2K after using my Asus VS248H-P 1080p Monitor for 5 years. These are the three 2K monitors im looking at currently. 1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009969&ignorebbr=1 2. https://www.amazon.com/Acer-G257HU-smidpx-25-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B00QS0AKVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483809694&sr=8-1&keywords=Acer+G257HU 3. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D4TCCZ4/?tag=pcpapi-20 What are your thoughts and if you have any other great value 2K monitors to suggest, let me know. Budget is under $300.
  8. Depends on the game you're playing, but you can definitely see a difference if it's something like an FPS game.
  9. I would agree, but yeah it's mostly just to build a new PC. My brother needs a better PC, so i will be selling him my current one and using the money from that to build a new one.
  10. Hey everyone, this is going to be my second build (First build: July 2012) This is what my current build looks like and the prices of the components at the time i bought them. CPU - Intel Core i5-3570K $215 CPU Cooler - CM Hyper 212 Evo $35 MoBo - Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe $275 RAM - Corsiar Vengeance 8GB DDR3-1600MHz $45 GPU - GTX Galaxy 670 GC 2GB $440 SSD - Intel 520 120GB $175 HDD - WD Black 1TB 7200RPM $120 PSU - Corsair HX Pro Series 750W $140 Case - NZXT Switch 810 $144 OS - Windows 7 $100 Optical Drive - Asus DVD-RW $18 Total: $1,707 Here is a look at what my future build looks like so far... (Going for B&W theme) CPU - Intel Core i5-6600K $230 CPU Cooler - Cryorig H7 $35 MoBo - Asus Z170-Deluxe $280 RAM - Corsiar Vengeance LED 16GB DDR4-2666 or 3000MHz $100 GPU - Asus GTX 1070 8GB Dual Series $405 SSD - Samsung 850 Evo 250GB $95 HDD - WD Black 1TB 7200RPM $70 PSU - Corsair RMi Series 750W $125 Case - Corsair 780T $190 OS - Windows 10 $85 Total: $1,615 Not looking for any massive jump in performance from my previous build, just more of an updated build of what i had previously since it's been 4.5 years. I'm happy with the performance i have gotten in the years using my current build. I mostly use it for gaming and other entertainment purposes. How do things look? No compatibility issues? Any component issues been going on with any of the parts listed? Should i wait for any new parts coming out? Should i swap out any components for something different? Any info and tips is greatly appreciated! Trying to stay under $1700
  11. Is there any other programs you'd recommend for looking at temps?
  12. As the title states, are some of my PC temps too high and which ones? Does this the CPUID HWMonitor program get reliable results? Some of my temps on my MoBo are apparently almost getting around 300F!! Wtf?! I was playing a game called Warframe while having the program running and nearly all graphics settings are maxed. Built this PC 4 years ago.
  13. So I have Windows 7 and I want to upgrade to Windows 10, but the only thing preventing me from doing so is that my Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter is apparently not compatible with Windows 10. I'm actually using a Linksys WUSB6300 though. I've tried to search for firmware updates for both but can't find any. My MoBo is a ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe. Is there no work around for this problem? Ethernet cable is not an option for me.
  14. Yes, the problem may happen again, but i'll try again.
  15. Yes, it was already enabled.
