  1. Got it. Just found an active adapter, which should work but it costs $45. Crazy.
  2. ^this Also, try downloading OpenOffice or LibreOffice, should solve your problem, if you don't want to buy Microsoft Office or subscribe for it.
  3. Hi everyone! So I have this problem, I want to hook up my old monitor which has only 1 hdmi in port. And I have a displayport cables option only, because other ports including hdmi out on gpu are occupied. While browsing for a simple adapter, I can't seem to find any that would give me ability to plug in my existing dp cable to one end, and plug hdmi cable to other end and connect it with my monitor. No such thing? Why?
  4. You mean aka thunderbolt? If so, then I can't use it on my Ryzen setup. If you mean just type c accessories/docks, then it's kind of same as 3.0 for my purposes?
  5. Hi everyone and Merry Christmas! I need your advice. I have only one try, so I need no mistakes here! All cabels would go under new flooring. My PC is going to be in a separate room from my main desk, distance is 20 ft (6m). My main desk is going to have: 2 monitors (4k and cheapo 1080p) Wireless peripherals (Logitech lightspeed) DAC+Amp combo for headphones and speaker set. So my question, am I right if I want to pass these cables under the flooring from pc to main desk: 20 ft active usb 3.0 extension cable for usb dock. 20 ft active usb 3.0 extension cable for DAC x2 Displayport cables Am I missing something here? Is 3.0 necessary? Hope for your help. Thanks for reading.
  6. Hi, My father got into photography because they started traveling with my mother a lot, so he wants something to edit photos on. I have some gift ideas, would like to share them with you and maybe you guys could suggest me something else? It won't be a stationary device, because he wants to do it on the go, while traveling or on a couch. Price is not a problem. Here are my ideas: Ipad Pro - Good screen, very portable and pencil support for editing. With an external drive + dongles for sd cards should be a good option. MacBook Air - Much more versatile than Ipad, but maybe an overkill? Surface book 3 - Maybe an overkill again, but he used windows machines whole life so it may be easier for him.
  7. Hello! My friend has G4620 and Gigabyte H110M-A motherboard. I want to give him my old ram which I purchased in 2015 - Kingston DDR3 1333 mhz 16gb I have few questions: 1. Will it work good on 1333 mhz? 2. Can I oc It to better speeds? i.e 1600 or more. 3. Will be there a big difference between 8gb DDR4 (which we should buy then) vs this DDR3 1333 16gb memory? 4. If it won't work, can you please recommend me good inexpensive 8gb ddr4 ram? This: CPU Mobo RAM Thank you
  8. Was looking at: amazon, lg
  9. Hi! Would like to ask you guys if you could recommend any good 4k IPS monitors under $500 or maybe even $600 if it's really worth it. amazon, newegg, fry's, microcenter, bestbuy. everything you could know! Thanks
  10. What is the best audio codec you can get in mb today? Or can someone rate current codecs out there and sort them from best to worse? Why I'm asking, is because I have a mb with ALC892 and it sounds awfuly compared to my old Creative Titanium HD sound card. I'm using 5.1 speakers and ATH-M50X headphones and difference is just huge when I switch to sound card. I'm planning to upgrade my pc and this is why I'm asking about codecs because I want to add my Titanium to a living room pc and have a similiar sounding codec in a new mb. Thanks
  11. I5 7600 is what I would buy or a ryzen 5 1600 edit: I don't know where you live but the 7600 is only 10 dollars more on amazon.com than 7500.
  12. I would say cheapest IPS AOC that you find pretty. Just check it has ports you need.
