  1. What do you mean by chroot? I thought it was locking a user into a directory...
  2. Hey all! I just dual booted Kubuntu 17.04 and Windows 8.1 (both partitions on my SSD) and it told me to restart. I did, but it boots straight to windows without showing me grub or anything. The first time I booted to windows, I could see kubuntu in windows explorer but I can't anymore. I opened up MiniTool Partition Wizard, here's a screenshot: (Disk 2 is my SSD if you couldn't tell)
  3. Na, it doesn't. Even if I pull out the power cables from my GPU (and keep it plugged into the motherboard) it still tries to use the GPU
  4. I have a i5-6600K, GTX 980 and Gigabyte Z270X Ultra Gaming mobo. Without pulling out the GPU, can I force my PC to use the iGPU while I am installing kubuntu (no drivers built-in)? I saw an option in the BIOS under chipset called "Internal Graphics" that was on auto but could also be set to enabled or disabled, is it this I need?
  5. Why would it not be ideal? Is there a possibility that I could run into issues down the line where the drivers conflict or something?
  6. How do I remove it? That's just the setup file I have there...
  7. Really? I have a folder of drivers from the disc and it contains many AsusSetup.exe 's. E.g. D:\Drivers\ASUS\Setup\Drivers\USB3\Asmedia\AsusSetup.exe

I also noticed that, it's hilarious...

  8. Basically, a RAM slot in my ASUS Maximus VIII Gene died so I need a new mobo. Going to get a Corsair 460X for my new case and a Gigabyte Z270X-Ultra Gaming. However, is it possible to remove the ASUS drivers and install the new ones without re-installing windows? Also, is my mobo a good choice?
  9. OK, followup. I put 4 in and now its not posting but the q code is going between 00, 01, and 03. Every time this happens, a load of qcodes flash up on the led display too quick to see but then it hangs on one of these numbers for 5-10 secs Edit: This only happens when A1 is occupied by any stick of any kit.
