  1. Yep, I've got my flights, travel insurance and now the LTX ticket booked, just sorting spending money and accommodation now.
  2. Those VIP tickets went obscenely quickly ? Glad I managed to snag one.
  3. Currently the PC (my HTPC in an Evolv Shift) has an i3 7100, R9 290 and 8GB RAM Before LTX I'll be upgrading it to an i5 or i7 depending on what shows up second hand and will temporarily move the 1070 and RAM from my main desktop into it. Not bringing my main gaming PC due to the size and cost of doing so. Specs: CPU: TBD GPU: Gigabyte G1 GTX 1070 SSD: 480GB Sandisk SSD Plus RAM: 16GB Patriot DDR4 2400MHz Mobo: Gigabyte B150N-GSM Case: Phanteks Evolv Shift PSU: Corsair SFX 600W Cooler: Cryorig C7
  4. Confirmed I'm going to LTX2019 :D

  5. I've had a bunch of people coming in to work with this issue, my co-worker and I managed to get a fix going. You'll need a spare computer, a flash drive of at least 8GB and a fair bit of time. If you need anything more detailed reply and I can go into more detail. 1: On the spare computer download the Windows 10 media creation tool and setup a bootable drive. 2: Plug the drive into the computer and boot back into the volume (insert random small number here) 3: Use CTRL + ALT + Delete to open task manager 4: Use task manager to open CMD with admin privileges 5: Use Diskpart to workout which drive letter the external installer is on (command "diskpart" then "list volume") 6: Move to that volume ("volume letter:") and run the command "start setup.exe" 7: Proceed through the install setup and make sure to keep apps and features (it will take quite a while)
  6. It's amazing that you guys need a second accountant now @CPotter >.>

Another login to edit my build and I can logout…

That is a nice build, 1440p master race
  8. The only adjustment I'd make is changing the power supply. Best Buy has the 600w version for the same price as the 500w from Amazon. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7VJpyf
  9. Just a heads up, you can still use a windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 license to activate windows 10, even if they've never been used on windows 10 before. The "deadline" for upgrades only applied to using the upgrade tool in windows.
  10. Just a tip for when you have it ready to install, unless you have the usb 3.0 drivers on the flash drive, use usb 2 as it saves a lot of hassle.
  11. Didn't get to see the stream live unfortunately, I will watch as soon as my food is cooked.
  12. Yep, I've been doing it at work as recently as last week, all they did was stop pushing the upgrade service.
  13. I'm not quite sure if update blocking has been implemented yet but from the sounds of it, it'll be happening fairly soon. Fortunately you can still use your windows 7 key during or after the installation of Win 10 to activate it.
  14. It in fact is one option with higher end Asus boards. http://event.asus.com/2012/mb/USB_BIOS_Flashback_GUIDE/ https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1030124/
  15. It doesn't need both connectors, I've had it running for a year (still running) and it works perfectly fine with just the 8-pin
  16. You may not be able to boot without updating the bios, the Sabertooth was around before the 6800k so it may not have a compatible bios. 1. Download and extract the latest BIOS from here. 2. Name the cap file "X99ST.CAP" and place it on a flash drive. 3. Remove the CPU. 4. Insert the flashdrive into the bios flashback usb port, bottom usb port next the optical out. 5. Press the USB flashback button on the backpanel for 3 seconds until it starts blinking then release. 6.Wait until it stops. Troubleshooting: if it flashes for 5 seconds then stops and becomes a stable light something has gone wrong and you'll need to double check everything.
  17. Yep, they did have LED's which for a stock cooler really bugged me.
  18. That is an actual Intel cooler, I've done a build or two with them at work. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835203013
  19. First Good video with a not unexpected result.

  21. How do I get a yellow one?
  22. With Orcon, Slingshot is owned by the same parent company which is why speedtest is confused. Paying $135 NZD for 1000/500

  24. It's adjusting the volume before outputting so it's still a digital signal at that point which is not a problem.
