Okay. I'm dumb. So here is the steps I needed to take:

Run LVExtend command: lvextend -l +50000 /dev/mapper/server0--vg-root  The + value is how much is free from the command VGDISPLAY The /dev/ value is the location of your LVM partition. Then Run the command: resize2fs /dev/mapper/server0--vg-root The /dev/ value is the location of your LVM partition. And that's it!

    root@server0:/home/joseph# resize2fs /dev/mapper/server0--vg-root resize2fs 1.44.1 (24-Mar-2018) Filesystem at /dev/mapper/server0--vg-root is mounted on /; on-line resizing required old_desc_blocks = 8, new_desc_blocks = 33 The filesystem on /dev/mapper/server0--vg-root is now 67594240 (4k) blocks long. root@server0:/home/joseph# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on udev 3.8G 0 3.8G 0% /dev tmpfs 777M 588K 777M 1% /run /dev/mapper/server0--vg-root 254G 61G 182G 26% / tmpfs 3.8G 0 3.8G 0% /dev/shm tmpfs 5.0M 0 5.0M 0% /run/lock tmpfs 3.8G 0 3.8G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup /dev/sda1 511M 6.1M 505M 2% /boot/efi tmpfs 777M 0 777M 0% /run/user/1000
I feel so dumb, but thank you @Electronics Wizardy for your help!

Lets start out with the main question: Are you happy with what you currently have?

Next, you need to answer if you are/aren't happy, then can you/are you able to afford the latest and greatest?

I may be approaching this topic with a deep mindset, but if you are happy with the FPS that you are getting, and don't want to upgrade at this moment, I would say save your money and buy a stake dinner (or if you're a vegan, whatever may be the most luxurious thing you may ask for) or the high-end version of whatever AMD has coming out whenever they decide to make a high-end card. You don't need hundreds of FPS in a game to enjoy it if you are already happy with what you have. I started playing games at 12 FPS in Skyrim on a cheap $400 laptop from 2008. As long as you're happy with the performance stick with what you have. Else, get an upgrade.

    Two Thinkpads.

For the more expensive, either a used X-series, T(S)-series, or X1 (Carbon). For the cheaper one, same deal but older generations.

X-series and T-series will be most upgradable, followed by TS and finally the X1/X1C. The latter two will be the thinnest and lightest.

EDIT: Models will depend on what you can get locally since that's generally the best place to get them unless your local market really sucks. Just get the newest thing you can, or the newest one that fits your needs.

I'm not sure. It sounds to me that you are kinda stuck because you are unable to troubleshoot with equipment you feel "stable" enough to test with. Honestly I have seen this happen to me a couple times on my systems (Ran Xeons a couple times, they are power hogs) and one of three things happened:
PSU was defective/wasn't pushing clean enough power/was hitting some sort of power cap and was unable to properly deliver power PSU cables weren't seated properly, causing a micro short which fried several components on my chipset and bridges The power load was too much and to prevent over-volting the system, it kicked off multiple times until I reduced the load this lead me to purchase a higher wattage PSU. My guess is still power delivery is messed up. If you can afford a couple (around $100 total) decent 750W units ( or a single 1500W S-Grade PSU) and test with one plugged into the GPUs and one into your board, then you should be able to better troubleshoot your issue. If it isn't the PSU, you most likely can take back the 750W units and continue your troubleshooting with other components.

Looks that way. If OBS supports it you might be able to, but I've also heard bad things about the quality of VCE. It might be worth considering an Nvidia GPU to use NVENC instead. You will lose some frames but it sounds like the stream quality will be much higher.

AMD has VCE to render with its GPUs, but I don't know if that works with their iGPUs.

The only reason I think it could be the backplane is because I jabbed it with a screwdriver trying to get the drive out the first time I got it into my apartment because fedex had damaged the chasis and I couldn't get the drives out because the metal under the right ear was so malformed that i literally had to break the drive free before being able to remove the ear and mold the metal into place. I also may have played linus and dropped my R410 down two stairs twice trying to get it into my server "closet".

I'll reseat the PERC card and try to reset the config and maybe even try to throw the firmware back onto it.

Joseph Stacklin reacted to AbsoluteFool in At what point is building your own desktop as a server has a better price compared to NAS?
As a person who have 19" rack i can say that it's a horrible idea unless you want alot of work. Like jde says, you should stick to workstation class equiptment and use that as a NAS.
Alot of people get the enterprise server just because it's cool. But do you know what's not cool? The power bill and the heat created by the servers.

Update: No.. Connecting directly to the router does absolutely nothing for difference. Takes just as long to load and still has stuttering and constant buffering. Investigating cables and backplane and will update after tests.

I'll post the info as soon as windows gets done updating because windows is garbage but I want a GUI and Ubuntu Server 18 is hot garbage that can't even use DHCP correctly.

Thanks for that. The girlfriend says she likes the blue the best (although IMO it's way too light), so I guess I'll go with that from EK and hope for the best. I will definitely report any issues I can find in later threads. I'm happy to be a junior member (or soon to be junior member) of the water cooling community.

I am unfortunately not an dye chemistry expert, but will at least voice my opinion about not using the Mayhems dye in your aluminium system. What's telling here is that not all colors of the EK-CryoFuel are part of the fluid gaming series (notably, red). This would indicate to me that they have uncovered some form of intrinsic incompatibility between the dye and the aluminium series.

Most dyes have some form of reactive groups on them, which is why they change color under some circumstances. I wouldn't risk it if I were you any potential reaction with the biocides, anticorrosion inhibitors, and the aluminium itself.

Honestly, the coolant is very much like toothpaste imo, just get something thats tested and call it a day. Don't go out of your way to dye your toothpaste. If you really want to, change the color of your lights in your bathroom.

Joseph Stacklin reacted to For Science! in What do I have to add to my distilled water coolant
You have 2 option for EK-CryoFuel, either buy this:

    https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-cryofuel-blood-red-premix-900-ml
Which costs a bit more and you "only" get 900 ml for 9 euros, but is ready for use, just pour it into your clean system.

    Or you buy this: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-cryofuel-blood-red-concentrate-100-ml
and you mix it in with 900 ml of distilled water (which you will have to get yourself from somewhere) and then you have 1L of coolant

Either is fine, depends on whether you have somewhere to buy distilled water.
