  1. Thx for the feedback guys it was really usefull ! ! !
  2. gotcha ! my nice build is falling apart )) first i changed the 970 with the 390 now i'm changing the cpu and motherboard what's next ))
  3. i won't be doing any streaming, editing or any other stuff like that on the PC ..I just want to be able to play the games that i find the need to at a certain moment .. right now i would play gta V (since i played all of them except this one ) battlefield, crysis, shadow of mordor , witcher ... you get the picture
  4. well the 4690k is exactly the same price as the 6600k but on a different socket..
  5. soooo.... what you're trying to say is? :-s
  6. well I'm going for an ASUS z97 mother board and I am going to choose a K series... is the new Skylake really worth it or could I just buy the 4690k?
  7. You my friend have a way to preach ) if it's not too much to ask at this hour (in romania it's 6 AM almost) what i5 would you recomend ?
  8. Inglish iz hard ) Building a PC is harder than I taught there are too many factors to consider... ). Well I wanted to go with the i7 because in my mind I wanted to use the same CPU for at least 3-4 years , while changing the graphics card after 1-2 years... what do you think?
  9. For the graphics card i'm going with a msi r9 390... but i wanted to know what cpu should i buy i was leaning for the 4790k but i don't know if i would just throw my money away if I just use it to play games
  10. Just for gaming !!! What do you guys think I should get if I just want to use this CPU ONLY for gaming?
  11. Thx for the info Really helpfull ! ! ! really bending towards the 390 I don't really get what you're trying to say..
  12. So mighty Sauron you say I should go for the R9 definitely
  13. Well i'm really planing to play at 1080p anyway at least for the next year or two... Well that's what's gettin on my nerves.. the fact that a lot of games are nVidia optimized... for the moment i really would like to play games like GTA V, Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor, Battlefield , Crysis .... You get the picture.. I was going for the MSI ones for both of the cards.. it's not the money that troubles me I want to be able to play the games that i fell the need to at that moment for at least 1-2 years before buying a new one...
  14. Ok so i'm planing to build my self a new gaming PC (since I am using a laptop for the past two years), but I kinda have some problems with the graphics card choice... I was really going to buy the GTX 970, but many of you told me on another topic that I should consider a R9 390.... I watched one of Linus's videos on NCIX page where he says the 970 has 3.5+0.5 Gb of VRAM (the last 0.5 at a lower speed) which could affect my gaming performances and won't really be much future proof... and so I was leaning on buying the 390... BUT after that I read some posts on the forum where some of you guys benchmarked these cards and despite the 390 having double the VRAM and 512bit BUS memory it actually scored less in firestrike and cinebench... I'm really really confused right now... What do you good fellas think? I have a budget of around $400 (US), but keep in mind i live in Romania and the prices may be different here than in North America.
  15. So here's the build with the changes .. I went for the CoolerMaster PSU... better price and it is on stock..
  16. ok then i guess i'm going to stick to the stock cooler for the time being ... after that maybe i'll change it..
  17. Another question, do you think i should get a better cpu cooler or could i just stick to the one the chip is coming with?
  18. Ok so i have multiple options but don't really know what to get: Asus Z97-Pro Gamer ASRock Z97X Killer ASRock, Z97 Professional Asus Z97 MAXIMUS VII HERO The last two go a little over the budget...
  19. So if I would like to keep the 4790k i should get a z97 board? I found the evo it's just 20 euro more expensive, so i'll go with that. I found now the seasonic for about 120 euro..
  20. CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor (~€340) Motherboard: Asus H97-PRO GAMER ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (~€135) Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (~€115) Storage: Sandisk Ultra Plus 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€0.00) >>> Couldn't find it on any site (living in romania ) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (~€50) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card (~€410) Power Supply: SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (€0.00) >>> Couldn't find this either ! Why did you go for the 4790 and not the 4790k ?
  21. I am getting a case lol, I just posted the main components that i was planing to use ! Could you recomend a z97 board? And what PSU do you suggest? I want to go with the 4790k because i think it's more future proof , About the R9, (I'M NOT TRYING TO START A "FIGHT" HERE BUT I DON'T REALLY HAVE MUCH INFO) do I really need 8gb if VRAM? I saw a video on youtube lately from Jayztwocents, where he said that the ATI got more expensive than nVidia for what they offer, so that's why I went for a 4Gb 970 I know you're going to think I'm an idiot be I don not really plan to OC my CPU in the near future so that's why i opted for that motherboard. BTW: I'm really planing to go 1080p and not 1440 or 4k (I don't think it's worth it really, as I am not a hardcore gamer just your average Joe who want's to be able to play some good titles with some fairly high settings ! THX for all the answers so far !
  22. So I decided to go ahead and build myself a gaming PC since I own a laptop for 3 years now... and I wanted to get an opinion out of you guys! thx BTW I want to keep it under 1500 Euros (if you have any suggestions)
