Buy the best you can afford when you can afford it. other wise it's just time not enjoying what you could have in your pc now.   Tomorrow will always bring a different product, sometimes a better one, sometimes a cheaper one and sometimes a dodgy one, there is no point in waiting to find out if there is something worth buying today.

Definitely grab the 1080ti now. You don't really want to play the waiting game, because you might be burned/disappointed in the end while having to wait all that time for a new card.

    @ 1440p 144hz a 1080ti is perfect.

This article reminds me of this video.  Spoiled brats and mothers who coddle their children.  The dad should've just taken the phone and smashed it with a hammer.

Looks like taking an item away from a child in order for them to learn a valuable lesson now constitutes as 'Breaking the law'.

So I started on this setup over 2 years ago, and pretty much everything in it has changed except for the audio gear and the desk. You can see how it originally looked on my pcpartpicker post, but I have yet to create the pcpartpicker post for my new pc.

For my current system, I have made some minor modifications. You may notice that I have carbon fiber wrapped some of my peripherals and my graphics card (not visible but also the top of my case). This is an easy way to keep the black and white theme going wihout taking stuff apart and spraypainting it, plus, if done right, it looks nicer. That blue poster on the left is self-made, and it is the logo of a website audiotool.com, which is a flash based DAW that runs natively in your browser for free and is how I produce music. Wallpaper is from a game called firewatch, I would highly reccomend looking up the game. Anyways, here's the specs and gear:

You're funny. Java > OpenJDK wasn't the problem. The problem was Misanthrope(? didn't go check who it was)'s suggestion to literally rewrite Android. In C. From top to bottom.

So let's be very clear here... this is what you're saying:
"Any chance we could use this as a chance to literally rewrite Android and inherently destroy compatibility with at least 50% of what's on the app store now.... if not more?"

Playstation Plus as a requirement for online service is still *kinda* in its infancy still and XBOX Live (I don't really care if you're a diehard PC gamer) has a reputation for being quite nicely maintained and it just works and has been for a long time.

Also I don't know the sales of XBOX One exclusives compared to PS4, but I assume a lot of it has to do with that for sure. The other stuff really is the same. Maybe slightly better on PS4 due to slightly higher resolution.

Same. I kinda think this vid along with the "How to properly recycle your electronics" and "How to hide your porn" vid were basically just things they scrapped together and put out for the sake of not missing a day of content.

Phillyphries reacted to GoodBytes in Microsoft Surface Book announced at Microsoft 2015 Hardware Event - NVIDIA GPU, Lastest Intel Chips
Ok... Calm down. I am sure it was a slip up and meant ultrabook. It isn't the first time that Microsoft isn't careful with its words during a presentation.
It's not like they mention this on the marketing material and product page from what I can see.
Microsoft doesn't mention the CPU exact model either. This gives the ability of Microsoft to change the specs. Like the Surface Pro 2, Intel could not meet the demand of the i5 chip as all OEMs were using it, so they started to put the higher end model chip (and Intel canceled the slower/older chip). The Nvidia chip is probably a custom chip, hence no name. My guess is that the performance will be around a 950M or 960M. A chip that would fit the device profile.
This device is not meant for gaming. I am annoyed that many people think "Oh Nvidia/AMD GPU... wait what? Its not the most highesnd model? IT SUCKS!!! It SUUUCKS!" Its like dude. All you care, is if the same or better performance than Intel graphics solution, as Intel graphics solution, say what you will, but it sucks. Horrible drivers, and doesn't have full DirectX and OpenGL support (let alone OpenCL, DirectCompute, making many software like PhotoShop that uses advance filters with GPU acceleration crash on Intel, or have issues). With Nvidia graphics solution (or AMD), you know that Yes performance might not be there depending on the chip, but at least it will WORKS.
