  1. Not the only laptop brand to have issues with Iphone USB C. In general its an apple issue so.
  2. Did you update the bios IN the bios, or did you update the bios using that bios flash button? If you can, always update bios in bios. The Flash bios button on the USB IO panel is a last resort. Sounds like you have screwed up the bios chip, and youll probably have to return the board. Since you have tried flashing it a few times. other things to note, these bios flash USBS tend to prefer USB 2.0 drives.
  3. Pretty much anyone with any ounce of logic will tell you its not worth it. Its just another addition to the pile of HMD that did nothing to change the space. It wont change anyone's day to day life. There are VERY little pros of it at this point, mostly cons. Give it a year or two, then we will see more pros come out for it. As of right now, its to be treated as a beta testing phase that some devs will buy to try and making things for it, for everyone else its useless. IT should never be considered by the vast majority of people. It offers nothing that makes it worth 3500$. This will either be one of apples quickest launches to dead product, or something that just gets shoveled quite a lot of money for the extremely tiny audience it has.
  4. No. Unless the pads have been torn to shreds or are super dried out, they should be fine. Pads are a pain to replace because you have to get the EXACT thickness, otherwise it will cause issues.

    Fps low

You have the bare minimum specs for a LOT of games. What games have you been trying to play exactly?
  6. Dont buy cheap shit cables for expensive phones from grocery stores. Anker cables or another good quality cable maker. Saves you in the long run. These cables are rarely ever properly tested before being sold like this. If the OEM cabled also fried though, thats something that is concerning.
  7. Most are giant vulnerabilities so generally its a "well who do you trust?" Nord absolutely not. They spend way more on advertising then their actual product. Never trust Nord. Avoid Last pass, and you can always just check them one by one with "Breach" to see if theyve been compromised or name changed due to a previous compromise.
  8. Sounds like you want to pretty much cheat in games without having to aim. Flat lines like that generally dont work well to begin with if you have to adjust any sort of height difference. Flat line aiming also tends to get flagged for aim bot/aim assist. If thats where you going to utilize it.
  9. Thats not a crazy temp spike. Crazy would be going from 40-50s to 95-100c doing that. Anything under 75c is pretty normal for loading apps, having downloads going etc. Intel has the exact same tendencies when opening up stuff and downloading. Its absolutely normal behavior.
  10. i mean thermal paste for the most part is going to last 3-5 years. If you actually looked at most of the pastes they generally recommend doing it once per year for optimal results. Zotac may cut corners and be cheap in some regards, but paste is paste. Its not a graphene pad, its going to degrade over time. I redo all my GPUS every 3 years or so. Using good quality paste will make it last the 3-5 years easily. Or if you want a one and done, the Graphene pad works just fine.
  11. Yes you can delete it. Quite odd how its downloading something every single day though o.o
  12. More then likely? No the scratch is not enough of a difference to cause a difference in thermals.
  13. You wont be damaging your CPU by getting to 90c. They are rated to run at 95c. In bios its under the fan profile just set it to 100%. Or download a program called Fan Control and do it in the OS
  14. From a quick google search, This program has a preference for Intel CPUs, from a few posts on the HFSS website as well as a few others. Some of them are pretty old, some are more recent.
  15. Its Prime95. Its an awful test and should never really be used by most people. Its fairly pointless besides just doing a thermal limit test of your cooler. Most programs dont get anywhere close to that. An easy fix, Dont run prime95. If your gaming thermals are fine and whatever other tasks are fine, there is not point in trying to fix thermals for a prime95 test to look good.
  16. for 200$ I would say no. Not really worth your time if youve never done that before since you are potentially buying someone elses problem.
  17. I made the statement because if you notice how dumb it sounds, maybe they have some hope of acknowledging that the original idea is also pretty dumb. That was the point of it Theres a clear difference between a preference, and just being idiotic. Preference is not wanting an SUV, Idiotic is to ban everyone and everything regarding SUVS simply because you dont like them. If you dont have a need for a certain type of vehicle, dont buy it. Nothing wrong with buying the vehicle in which you need. I like SUV's cause they are easier in the winter when it snows a ton here, and they are easier to get into because im tall. People who buy cars as status symbols are just as idiotic and deserve to be shamed for it. Are there pointless cars? Of course, just like most things you can buy there are pointlessly expensive options for people with more money then brain cells with critical thinking skills enabled.
  18. They are mad the SUVs are the better vehicles, and dont like when they are looking down at them on the road in their small smart car. Stop wasting everyone's time with this useless, pointless drivel. Vehicles are dangerous, horses are dangerous, anything that has an element of uncertainty while traveling has a potential for danger. Brushing all SUV's like this just makes you seem like you have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about and you just want to be a petulant troll. Quite a few SUVs are fine, even for pedestrian safety. Are some better then others? Sure. But getting hit by any car like that is just not gonna be a good time so just dont get hit by cars! Every solution i have seen from this type of thing always goes no where as they dont ever provide any good solutions just whining and complaining that does nothing.
  19. Flight sim LOVES vcache. For a new build its hard to say. If you can buy used hardware it would be best. If you can buy a 5800x3d+B550+32 GB of ram combo in your area i would do that, but thats gonna be specific and hard to find. 20. Stop updating so damn much o.o You should not need to do that. Unless you are having issues, what exactly is the point of doing this? Most of the time these fixes are for known bugs and or QOL and other fixes. But unless you are having those issues, you dont need to keep constantly doing that.
  21. What exactly are you doing? If you are gaming get a 7800x3D, If you are doing work get a 7950x. Do not get the 7950x3D as its known to have issues getting it to work properly, if you dont know what you are doing its not the route to go. If you are doing work, get a 4080 Super over the 7900xtx, if you are gaming its a toss up between the two, if you want ray tracing go Nvidia, since that 7900XTX you chose is 180$ over a MSI Gaming TRIO (get the MSI one) as that asus one doesnt perform any better then it.
  22. Really depends on how good you are and if you are into competitive play. If you are just a casual, theres really not much of a point over spending. Is there a big difference? Depends on your eyes and how you handle it. I see the uplift going from 144 to 240 to 360 hz, some people its not as noticeable. The response time is better so that will be an improvement, but unless you are able to actually utilize it, not by much.
  23. For "Optimal" its usually once per year, for most things though, 3-5 years is generally when the paste becomes an issue and should be redone
  24. Why exactly are you doing this in the first place? Unless you are having thermal issues you dont need to change the paste for a few years. It hasnt been 3-4 years where the paste starts drying out o.o As far as safety, its non conductive so it should be fine.
  25. Dont bother Overclocking. Just do voltage tuning. If its not your computer, dont OC. Youll be the one having to deal with all the issues that arise from that. Otherwise besides the power settings for GPU/CPU in windows, it just comes down to what things he actually does with the computer. For the most part once you have all the drivers and such installed, thats pretty much it for casual users. You want rock solid stability with this system rather then the absolute most performance, since they are not going to notice the marginal gains that comes with that type of stuff.
