yeah but isn't AM5 too expensive for sub 1000$ budget?

Not really honestly. There are certainly New bundles that make it, but hes in India so not sure how good their deals are etc.

Yes but the benchmarks are done with a top of the line gpu but I'll be using a lower mid range card so how much of a difference would that make I am not sure

You want the most that fits within your budget. Spend 120$ now, and that gives you exactly what you need AND the potential for an upgrade if you choose to do so. If you need to save every last bit then yes, save the money.

  2. since you are not interested in the used market, it seems odd that you are saving 120$

MOBO should only be a 30-40$ difference at this point, ram should be a 15$ difference. the CPU should be the main price difference right?

If i had to chose between the two, id go 7600 because it still gives you a  platform to upgrade. You clearly are not in the camp of needing the absolute best of the best, but maybe in 4 years when you want more performance, you only need to do a CPU drop in upgrade then!

  3. The "if you bought this product they will have legal issues" People tend to be in the countries that have pretty awful laws. Germany and many of the EU countries have pretty stupid laws with this type of product against the consumer instead of being against the company.

How do they get away with it? Simple, most of the time they do not care if a business does this thing. Can almost say with certainty the goverments and such are FAR more annoyed with Der8aur then they are with lamptron with this kind of issue. This has been an issue for years with that company, theyve probably been told quite a few times about it and nothing was really done. Now that a somewhat popular youtuber made a big issue about it, i can see them being pretty annoyed at him rather then the company.

performance loss is a big issue tho, and not to mention my idea is trying to remove having a guest OS in the first place its more like the two OSes are in conjunction not one below the other. Secondly, Vm allocation afaik is static not dynamic(excluding kubernetes since that is on the cloud). If you want good 3d performance in a Vm you need additional hardware which is more costly same as using two computers.  Thirdly, this idea I have can use a microkernel architecture sorta thing to make it less prone to crashing, isolation etc.

Yeah this idea is pretty much just nonsense due to the amount of work and the very small audience it would be aimed at. VMS are the answer here. Thats quite literally it. Dual OS trying to use resources just wouldnt go so well. There has to be a division of resources (hence why VMS exist) otherwise there will be a conflict. Its not a simple process, its far more complex than that.

Something Has to sort out which OS has what resources, if you can divide them up in BIOS then it could feasibly work, have OS #1 us DDR Channel 1+3, OS2 use DDR 2+4. Have OS Use Cores 0-7, OS 2 use 8-15 etc. But that may be asking a lot of most BIOS chips, it would have to be increased in size quite a bit.

Youd have to get a MOBO vendor to be on board and program that, spend the time making sure it works and fix potential issues, Fix when updating the bios to try saving settings etc.

V0.6 works -> V2.0 doesn't work, and how they jump from Beta v0.6 to V2 is strange.

Usually it goes to v1 first but anyway, for some reason v2 doesn't work on my system/os

The App opens and says error presentmon is not running and i tried to reinstall it and same.

    system:

    OS: Win10 22H2(19045.4291)

    AMD FX-8350

    Sapphire RX590 GME(580)(Adrenalin 24.3.1)

    16GB DDR3

Just gonna save you time. Dont even bother on that type of system. Not worth running it lol

With a 12 year old Cpu, its not unexpected for it to be broken on software like that. Even if previous  versions worked. Also its still basically a beta software so probably that as well.

  6. 16GB is more then enough for what you will be doing on it, its a complete non issue that people are blowing out of proportion.

It pretty much comes down to do you EVER want to turn on ray tracing? Then go Nvidia, if you dont care for RT, go AMD. Their performance is roughly the same. If you have specific games you play, check their results as some perform better on one card then the other.

Power connector is important as well, i prefer the 8 pin plugs since they have been proven to be much more reliable, but as long as you properly install the 12vHPWR connector you should be fine. AS long as your  PSU has 3 PCIE power plugs (each one should be its own plug) you should be fine as the cards do come with the adapter in the box.

  7. If you are just gaming, 7800x3d. 7950x is pointless for gaming.

7900xtx isnt bad, but those 3 games dont really require the top of line line hardware to actually run.

leaves you with 1000$ for Monitor+Keyboard+mouse.

  8. Did you update the bios IN the bios, or did you update the bios using that bios flash button? If you can, always update bios in bios. The Flash bios button on the USB IO panel is a last resort.

Sounds like you have screwed up the bios chip, and youll probably have to return the board. Since you have tried flashing it a few times.

other things to note, these bios flash USBS tend to prefer USB 2.0 drives.

How has it changed your day to day life, what are the pros and some of the cons of it. Would you say its worth the steep price tag?

Pretty much anyone with any ounce of logic will tell you its not worth it. Its just another addition to the pile of HMD that did nothing to change the space.

It wont change anyone's day to day life. There are VERY little pros of it at this point, mostly cons. Give it a year or two, then we will see more pros come out for it.

As of right now, its to be treated as a beta testing phase that some devs will buy to try and making things for it, for everyone else its useless.

IT should never be considered by the vast majority of people. It offers nothing that makes it worth 3500$. This will either be one of apples quickest launches to dead product, or something that just gets shoveled quite a lot of money for the extremely tiny audience it has.

  10. Most are giant vulnerabilities so generally its a "well who do you trust?"

Nord absolutely not. They spend way more on advertising then their actual product. Never trust Nord.

Avoid Last pass, and you can always just check them one by one with "Breach" to see if theyve been compromised or name changed due to a previous compromise.

  11. Sounds like you want to pretty much cheat in games without having to aim. Flat lines like that generally dont work well to begin with if you have to adjust any sort of height difference. Flat line aiming also tends to get flagged for aim bot/aim assist. If thats where you going to utilize it.

Nah bro I’m talking like opening steam there is a crazy temp spike, I’m coming from intel so idk if this is just normal

Thats not a crazy temp spike. Crazy would be going from 40-50s to 95-100c doing that. Anything under 75c is pretty normal for loading apps, having downloads going etc.

Intel has the exact same tendencies when opening up stuff and downloading.

    Its absolutely normal behavior.

  13. i mean thermal paste for the most part is going to last 3-5 years. If you actually looked at most of the pastes they generally recommend doing it once per year for optimal results.

Zotac may cut corners and be cheap in some regards, but paste is paste. Its not a graphene pad, its going to degrade over time. I redo all my GPUS every 3 years or so. Using good quality paste will make it last the 3-5 years easily. Or if you want a one and done, the Graphene pad works just fine.

  14. Its Prime95. Its an awful test and should never really be used by most people. Its  fairly pointless besides just doing a thermal limit test of your cooler. Most programs dont get anywhere close to that.

An easy fix, Dont run prime95. If your gaming thermals are fine and whatever other tasks are fine, there is not point in trying to fix thermals for a prime95 test to look good.
