Good day all,
Im having an issue I don't think ive ever seen before or heard of.
Currently im having an issue with using my F2 key everywhere. In games my F2 key doesnt work, outside of games any commands that require F2 dont work, such as spreadsheets and video editing.
Heres what I have done to troubleshoot:
Tried setting a macro key to complete the F2 function, still doesnt work.
Checked to make sure the key actually works on the keyboard, It works.
So im not sure if it got disabled or something is going on. Because the key is registering in my Logitech software so i know its detecting key strokes.
Keyboard is g910 Orion spark with Logitech gaming software.

Hi all,
My main monitor no longer displays anything. It is detected in both Nivida control panel and device manger. I have reinstalled the RTX 2070 Super drivers twice both clean. The monitor does work via HDMI. I changed the Display port and it doesnt work. The monitor worked before I shutdown my pc and now it doesnt work.
In Nvidia control panel I cannot select the monitor. I have uninstalled the windows drivers and that didnt help.
Windows wont let me extend or duplicate the displays. It wont change from displaying only on display 2.

The speeds look fine to me based on reviews of that drive.
Thank you.

You must have some sort of caching in use. There is no way that your SATA drive is actually reaching those speeds. That's impossible with SATA.
As for my NVME. Are those speeds what I should be getting?

Not sure whether it would be throttling at 60, but getting it down certainly could help extend the life.
Yea, i doubted that aswell. Thank you for the advice, I will be trying that tomorrow. If there is no pad, i assume I should buy one?

Make sure it is lined up correctly with your drive, try taking it off and applying it to the drive directly.
Ok I will try that. Is it likely that the slow speeds are the drive thermal throttling?

Did the drive or mobo come with thermal pads? If so, try using it if you’re not already.
IIRC there was a thermal pad on the cover piece. I couldnt find any extra pads in the box.

My NVME drive says its running hot. I have installed in the covered NVME spot on my ASUS Rog Maximus XI Formula. When I installed it I wondered how it would get cooled being that you put a metal over over it. If anyone has any advice that would be awesome.
Now for the speeds. Comparing the NVME drive to my 2.5"ssd its way slower. Is this the drive thermal throttling?
Should I find a different place to install it?
Thanks

Have you tried doing a fresh install of windows? I had the same problem as you, i reinstalled windows and it fixed everything. But when I say reinstall i mean format the drive completely. Not the reset that windows has built in.

how do you access advanced view?
If ur on windows go to the hidden icons arrow by the time. Right click the F@H icon and it should give an option to open advanced view.

Some bios' provide the option to cap network speed. Check and see if you have an option like this enabled.
Just checked the bios and couldnt find anything. The only thing I could find that is related to networking was network stacking which is unrelated (i think).

As the title says, my gaming rig is stuck at 120mbps on both lan and wifi. I have tested the wifi with my laptop and got 370mbps and I also tested the lan connection into the computer once again getting 370mbps. I updated to the most recent Intel ethernet drivers today and still no change. Something is up with my computer and I cannot figure out what it is. I have even gone as far as deleting all internet drivers and starting over to no avail. please help need speed

ASUS ROG Zephyrus. I bought it for school and its amazing.
It was recommended to me by people on this forum.
Edit: read over the part where you dont want a gaming laptop. However this is a slim laptop that meets all of your other needs.

Are you using grounded power sockets for pc and you sound card?
I assume you are referring to the wall plug whether its three or two pronged. My sockets are three pronged and my power plug for my pc is three pronged. As for for the sound card im unsure of how to know, as its powered by PCIE port. And for the mixer its powered by the pc.

Hello everyone.
I have a AT 2020 mic with a Behringer UMC22 interface
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00FFIGZF6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
My issue is that I have tons of background static.
Currently I have the Behringer hooked up to my pc by USB.
I do have a sound card in my pc, however the mic is not hooked up to it since its plugged in using usb. I do have 48+v on.
Thanks

Hello all,
I currently cannot get my computer to go over 130mb/s. I currently have 300mb/s internet which works fine on my laptop. I can archive those speeds wirelessly far away from the router. I just tried uninstalling the Intel Ethernet/LAN driver. I reinstalled it using the ASUS armory crate. My current intel driver is, 12.18.8.9 (7) I219v. One thing I did notice under device manager is that there is a unknown Ethernet controller under (other Devices).
Thank you all
Pulsing static sounds / how to clean up audio
in Audio
Posted
Hi,
My microphone is producing a static sound that pulses very consistently. When adjusting my gain it gets worse when higher and vice versa. When not using any noise cancelling or audio cleaning from my soundcard the audio is pretty much pure static (as expected). However the pulsing static is always there, and it makes work meetings bad since when im takling it can be clearly heard.
I have to use gain on my microphone since otherwise im too quite without it.
My sound card is the sound blaster AE-5 and my headset is the logitech G432. The headset is connected to the card via 3.5mm.
TIA
