Its a custom fan curve 30% on 30c then goes up to 50% on 40c. Maybe afterburner just hits the right spot.

Are 39-40c idle temps when fan speed set to 50% side panel off on Asus Gtx 970 ok, this is when im just browsing and no heavy load? usually decreases to around 38c on 42% fan speed, side panel off too. Thanks guys!

what if i just dont buy a gtx 1060 for now and just run igpu for the monitor then slight saving up of money then buy a 1070?

target for the 1060 is 6G.

what would be your recommendation? should i just get the 144hz for now then save the money instead of buying a 1060 and buy a 1070 as soon my money is enough?
