  1. Currently running my old GTX 650. I'm okay with it, but I'd really like to go AMD on my next card
  2. I didn't want to bring chilean peso budget into this conversation, but since you ask for it, let's say I have about 40.000 to 60.000 pesos to spend, that's why I asked for advice on that very first page specifically. Is any of those good enough?
  3. Well, maybe I didn't explain myself enough. Is there (in that specific link I posted) a reliable PSU that I could afford? I don't want to sound rude or anything, but here in Chile computer parts are just stupid expensive
  4. - CPU: Core i7-3770 (3.40GHz) - MB: Asus P8Z77-M PRO - RAM: Kingston HyperX 8Gb (1600mhz) - GPU: Zotac Geforce GTX 650 (AMP! Edition) 2 hard drives and no watercooling. Also, that EVGA 750W B2 seems to be quite expensive over here
  5. Just for reference: The EVGA 500W (the first one on the list) is about 40.000 chilean pesos, which is about 56 US dollars.
  6. Hi guys. I want to buy a new power supply because the one I'm using is really old and it makes a constant high pitched noise (what seems to be coil whine). It also is really sensible to voltage changes, so when I happen to plug or unplug something on the same power strip or on a power outlet nearby, the USB ports go crazy (I can tell because it makes the plug and unplug USB noise repeatedly). I'm not a hardcore gamer and my current setup surely isn't made for it, a 500-600w PSU would be alright I think, the problem is that I live in Chile and everything you will see on the next link is what is on my reach. http://ow.ly/Y6ucv -> Don't be afraid if everything is in spanish, I just want you to see the products that are available to me. So, do you recommend any of those? I'm kinda on a tight budget right now, but I'd like to get something with at least 80Plus certification. I don't mind waiting a little more to get some money, but if I can get something on the cheap that would be great
  7. After half an hour of experimentation, I found the origin of my problem. During the Asus and Windows loading screen, the system is looking for external devices such as keyboard, mouse, earphones, etc. (And updates them all?). I also had plugged in a Mayflash Gamecube Controller to USB adapter, and this seems to be glitching out on the device detection phase, making it reboot indefinitely. I never thought a seemingly harmless thing could produce such an annoying effect on my computer
  8. I reseated the RAM and some cables, and moved the 24-pin cables that were crushed behind the storage drives (my case is so tiny that cable management isn't an option). I rebooted the computer around 6 times and all attempts worked flawlessly, but I'll see how it really behaves on the course of the next days. Thanks everyone!
  9. I usually wouldn't come here for such a thing, because my PC does this every once in a while, but today it was just stupid dumb. I just wanted to turn on my PC, but it took at least 10 attempts to get it working. It either rebooted on the Windows loading screen and then the Windows Automatic Repair system wanted it to Restart properly, or it just didn't POST at all. It even turned off in attempt number 5 or so. What is going on here? I thought it was a PSU problem back a few months ago and I replaced it for an older one that was in my previous computer, but now it is the same all over again. PC Specs: CPU: Core i7 3770 MB: Asus P8z77-m pro RAM: Kingston HyperX 8Gb (1600mhz) GPU: Zotac Geforce GTX 650 (AMP! Edition) Storage: Samsung 840 Evo + Seagate Barracuda PSU: A quite old 650w PSU (Gear) OS: Windows 8.1 x64 I don't know what the problem may be... Help
  10. On this video they discuss a really interesting Nintendo patent. Worth watching.
  11. Nevemind. I found a way to make them work without calibration. Thanks anyways
  12. I tried it. Too much installation of devices and stuff, I don't think the computers there will like that
  13. I have the "Mayflash Gamecube Controller Aspter for Wii U & PC USB". 4 ports, plug and play, and I have installed the drivers on my PC too, so I get the rumble feature, but sadly it needs to be calibrated anyways. More details -> http://www.mayflash.com/products/nintendowiiu/w012.html
  14. Hello, I came here seeking for the endless knowledge of the LLT comunity This wednesday I'm gonna take my Gamecube USB controller adaptor to the univerisity, so we can play some games while we wait for the result of our finals. However, on those computers we don't have access to the administrator account, and almost every setting from the control panel has been blocked. This GC controller adaptor needs to be calibrated before use, and since the default USB gamepad utility has been blocked, is there any other alternative way (software/program) to calibrate them?
