DartNk's Achievements

  1. I'm looking to cut down mistakes, miscommunication, and forgotten tables. Any idea where I could find preferably ios app for seating arrangements . I can compromise, only reason I ask for ios is that our payment platform is square and we have the stands. I digress, I am looking for a custom UI to fit our arrangements. The UI updates across all units. Ability to change, add, edit any text for according tables. I am not looking for a new pos or an ordering system. Just a utility side app. Thanks in advance
  2. Possible, I told him to contact the seller and see if there is anything that can be done. Hell I have a Toshiba that he can get from me. He Travels around the world a lot and wanted a light laptop to do video editing and rendering, The thinkpad goes nuts and lags when he puts a title in the video, My solution was to return it. Being he bought it less then 10 days ago, There isnt any apparent water. Hopefully, he is able to return it for the money he paid for it and I can just pass on my laptop to him.
  3. he did not specify what it was but i could only assume its either a spilled beer or animal urine. When I had my run through to do my inspection for him before hand, everything was dandy. except for the updating process which we were just going to do a refresh of the os.
  4. My buddy has a Lenovo Thinkpad x220, he purchased this product from ebay as a refurb. It worked fine, up until a liquid was discovered on it mainly the back and non - exposed part of the battery. He did disconnect the battery, cleaned it off, and waited until our other buddy showed up with his tools. (I was at work without my tools.) Our buddy cracked her open. no liquids or such evidence that any was present recently. Now it wont boot. Flashes 3 , 2 , 1 long. if I am not mistaken. TROUBLE SHOOTING. Ac boot - nope bat boot - nope ac/bat boot - nope We then open her up to reassure and determine any other could be problems. Forums claim it may be the motherboard. Ac block smells of a static burn metillca smell. Another Forum said the cmos/bios detachment could help fully discharge the system. I personally wasn't hands on with it being I was at work again during this 2 day process. So we do that, reassemble and re do the trials. it now BOOTS however, some boots (mostly tested plug only.) cmos error, chksum bad. The keyboard does not respond. We've reseated it many times. plugged the battery back in, still the same brick wall. I am about to use an usb wireless and wired keyboard to see if it that produces results. System specs as much as I can recollect. Windows 7 service pack 1 ( another issue is updating windows, we yet to try to refresh.) intel i 5 mobile ati gpu - low grade 8 gb ram any ideas? any other information that I can provide that will help remedy this issue? thanks in advance! Edit: we used the wired keyboard worked! now it works kind of there is beeping constantly it also changes in pace. but its mostly like b b b b b every 2 seconds. The mouse buttons left and right. And the red track button. Slowly acknowleding other keys and the mouse track pad.
  5. However, I will post the results later tomorrow or the day after.
  6. its cool, we tried that and failed. The building is two separate domains. so the power lines don't run together.
  7. Thanks for the tips, I'll post if it worked out. I just hate working on older buildings. Never know exactly what will happen.
  8. I don't think i mentioned that's the type of repeater she got along side with a normal repeater.
  9. true, but when I called our home depot they told us to call this other place which I forgot the name and they said $100 for the 24 hrs and both places the bit was around $15-$20. I'm sure I can do it. The guy on the phone at home depot sounded new so I could just go there tomorrow.
  10. didn't work. and the building uses separate power lines for the home and business
  11. yeah, lol I agree. I suggested that we bridge connection with a laptop and have it sit above the ceiling tiles. Which I have a few older ones laying around, but that is not a good idea at all. If it comes to it we could just fork the money over the company to do it. .... or have her buy the concrete bit and rent the right drill. which is still expensive.
  12. The walls are concrete as well the building was built in the 70's or 80's. Windows would be an option, but she doesn't want to do that as we are located downtown. Again the ceiling is concrete. so the whole building is sealed off from the upstairs. we are trying to avoid paying her company to come drill a hole for the outrageous quote. on top of that, the way station is in the center-ish of the store.
  13. I forgot to say that the printer needs the Ethernet cable
  14. that has nothing to do with it. we can't get the wifi to connect through the concrete..
