Drill a few 140mm holes in the top of the cabinet and attach standard 12v high power fans like Delta fans or do what I said before with the holes and run 140/120mm ducting with a fan up into your ceiling.

I absolutely hate HDD sounds. I have an S340 so there is no sound dampening for the drives. When I copy large files or when the nightly backup starts my PC sounds like a wood chipper.

Just call your PC a computer.

Hulling its fat ass from the corner underneath my desk when something breaks. Or twisting my spine 90 degrees just to plug in a USB cable to the back panel.

QFA350 reacted to Enderman in Does Nvidia really gimp their cards?
The "nvidia gimps cards" is just BS made up by some AMD fanboys, don't fall for that crap.

The reason it seems like nvidia cards "decrease" performance is because nvidia cards get driver updates right after launch, and multiple times, improving performance by a bit.
After the initial bunch of driver optimizations there isn't any huge leaps in performance from drivers.

When AMD releases a card, it's pretty bad for a while until they start fixing their drivers and optimizing things better which can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.
Since AMD only releases new drivers a few times a year, or sometimes only once a year, they end up performing much better in the future than they did around launch.

If you look at benchmarks you will see the GTX____ performs the same or better than it did when it launched years ago, and if you look at an AMD card you will see it have a big improvement between release and where it is now.

About that benchmark you posted, it seems like this is an isolated case, if you look at other benchmarks (aka more than one) you will see that a 960 does not perform better than a 780ti. It looks like this game just uses certain features which don't work very well on older GPUs. You can blame game developers for that.

The fact is, why spend one something that is nearly 6 years old when you could wait for ZEN or go with intel. I don't even know how you edit in 4k with that processes. I had trouble editing 1080p videos when i had FX8350. The game experience was horrible ... constant drops frames with 980ti, when i switch like a month later to Intel all the problem went ... even my SSD have better performance and OS didn't feel choppy.

Please don't say it was due to new install of OS, i reinstall windows like twice on that old machine and same problem.

I have little to no problem with AMD CPU's but why buy something that is so outdated when you can pay a little bit more and get something more recent. Until AMD Zen arrives, I will stick with Intel.

Stop. You could unintentionally and unnecessarily blow up your BIOS over a simple fix. Check the cooler mount first. Make sure there's enough thermal paste, that the plastic was removed, and that it's mounted properly.

When people bring me a PC to fix, they leave and when I turn it on it's locked with a password.

When someone says "my pc isn't turning on"  and in reality it's just getting stuck while booting.

Someone calls angry and blames me because "my email isn't working, I can't open attached files ", then I find out the problem is with a single file in a single email that someone decided to convert with corel draw from .JPG to .CDR before attaching it to the email.
