  1. I personally wouldn't connect 2 splitters into each other off one header as it might max out its current rating.
  2. You get to learn a new skill but I understand that some people may not feel comfortable working with stuff like that
  3. please tell me you removed the plastic from the bottom of the CPU cooler
  4. It makes the project more interesting IMO and in some cases can be cheaper!
  5. A little bit of basic soldering will do the trick.
  6. Budget they are very nice but used I think I would look for intel first and if I'm not in luck go with AMD.
  7. I have little to no problem with AMD CPU's but why buy something that is so outdated when you can pay a little bit more and get something more recent. Until AMD Zen arrives, I will stick with Intel.
  8. Ok video but certainly not my type.
  9. You could but it kinda defeats the purpose of a backup drive since you can't easily remove it and it's in the same location as your current data. I also don't think cooling would be that great.
  10. Depends. I wouldn't know the exact technical specs but obviously you don't want a 100m USB cable. I have a 5m USB 3.0 cable which is connected to a dock with a 2013 500GB 2.5" drive and I get a constant 60-85MB/s.
  11. Put them behind your monitor or do what I do and buy longer cables and move them to a shelf/cabinet kinda location.
  12. Ok thanks. We are leaning towards the cable side with the 3MB/s down.
  13. So you think ADSL2+ is the go?
  14. Yup I am certainly looking forward to a change.
  15. Yeah kinda what I was thinking. ADSL2+ or Cable? Both are for the same price with cable being at 3MB/s and ADSL2+ being 1.2. can you give me a brief rundown on the pros and cons of both? Thanks!
  16. Currently we are paying $80 for a landline phone and unlimited at 1.2MB/s down but all we ever get is around 250-800KB/s down on speedtest.
  17. I can't seem to find a plan like that for Wagga Wagga.
  18. Hello everybody! I recently found out that I will be moving to Wagga Wagga from Sydney and I was given the job to find decent internet plans for a cheap price. One of the plans that I found was $80/month for a landline telephone and unlimited internet data on the NBN (National Broadband Network). Investigating more, I found that the speed was NBN Basic which is about 1.2MB/s Down and 500KB/s up. Would I see any benefits from going with the NBN plan such as more consistent speeds and lower ping or should I just pay the same price for cable with 3MB/s down and 1MB/s up? Thanks!
  19. Well I have 66GB free on my backup HDD and 873GB to backup. I guess I have to wait until I get a new larger drive but currently to busy preparing for a move (obviously a good time to backup).
