  1. I have a wired XBox 360 controller that I use with my PC to play racing games and such, and I've been experiencing an issue where every so often the controller will freeze up and be stuck "pressing" the last button that I pressed, so the car will keep turning right or going forward or whatever. While this is happening no buttons on the controller work but keyboard and mouse inputs still work on top of whatever input the game is receiving from the frozen controller button. I have tried restarting Windows after a clean boot as suggested by this post on Microsoft's forums but it didn't work. I tried with a different wired controller (not Microsoft brand) and had the exact same issue. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  2. In my PC I currently have a 240 gb Intel 535 series SSD as my boot drive and I have another 480 gb 535 series SSD available to me. My question is two part: A) is it possible to partition the 480 gb drive and RAID 0 one of the partitions with the other drive and B) would I gain any actual noticeable performance from doing this? I only use my SSD for the OS and all my programs except games. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
  3. I couldn't find a controller for my specific model on eBay or Aliexpress- there were a lot for similar models but none for my exact one. Do you know if there are any other placed that might have them?
  4. I have a functional display from an old Toshiba laptop that was broken for other reasons. I want to know if there is any possibility of finding an adapter to use the display with my PC (I have Displayport, HDMI, and DVI available). The first picture is the port on the display itself, the next two are the end of the cable that connected to the display, and the last one is the end of the cable that connected to the laptop's motherboard. Since there is only one cable i would assume that it carries power as well as a display connection so I would need a power adapter as well. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  5. I pulled this optical drive out of an old broken Toshiba laptop and if it's still working I want to try to use it in my PC. I know that the connector on the right is SATA and I assume that the left one is for power but I don't recognize it or know how to search for one to buy. Any help is appreciated!
  6. If anybody at LMG ever sees this - normally I don't mind your somewhat clickbaity titles and thumbnails, but I really really think that if the video is about a specific product then at the very least the name of the product should be part of the title so we have some idea what the video is actually about - something like "Sorry Apple, the Notch is Dead - Xiami M Mix Review". Keep up the good work otherwise!
  7. I just tested the WiFi at 1ms ping and around 56 megs up and down so its actually pretty good.
  8. I just moved into college and my campus doesn't have working ethernet, so I need a WiFi solution for my PC. Is something like this good, or is it overkill, or do I need something better? I don't know what kind of WiFi my campus has and I don't know how to find out. Any help is appreciated!
  9. I have a Moto Z2 Play running Nougat. I want to switch the whole system language to Hebrew which isn't one of the languages that is available in settings. I know some phones, I think Samsung, support more languages than stock Android so I was wondering if there's a way to add in more languages. If anyone knows anything about this that would helpful.
  10. I modified my AudioTechnica ATH M50s to have a removable cable, but I'm having trouble finding a sturdy male to male 3.5 mm audio cable to use. Every one I've tried has eventually partially or fully broken due to being carried in backpacks and just general use. Any recommendations for good sturdy cables that I won't have to worry about breaking (around 1 - 1.5 meters)?
  11. I'm thinking of buying the Moto Z2 Play and I'm wondering if the verizon version (the 32 GB, $408 one) is actually unlocked to use on other carriers and internationally like other verizon phones. I'm confused because theres a special unlocked version of the phone for $500 with 64 GB of storage and Motorola's website seems to indicate that the verizon version is not unlocked at all, but talking to verizon reps they say that all their phones including this one should be unlocked. Any further information or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  12. I have an ROG Swift PG 278q and a GTX 1070 and I still notice some frame tearing when playing games. Is this an unusual problem, or is there a solution, or is there something here that I'm missing?
  13. I'm building a simple rig for my grandmother to use for simple web browsing and such, but she doesn't have accessible Ethernet ports at her house so I need some way to connect the computer to her WiFi network https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cQZXVY As far as I can tell, the motherboard here does not support WiFi, so if anyone can suggest either a different motherboard or a good expansion card or some other solution that would be appreciated.
