  1. It seems I have some research to do. Thanks for giving a starting point everybody.
  2. I overclocked my CPU to 4.4 GHz. Is the newer architecture worth the speed loss?
  3. Thank you. I guess I will only need this until I upgrade my cpu.
  4. I would like new. I hope to pass this pc down when I can afford to upgrade.
  5. Sorry for not being clear. My motherboard was a z170. My monitor is fine.
  6. Two 8g sticks of ddr4 at 2133 and overclocking would be preferable.
  7. My z170 broke and I only have 200 dollars to replace it. I have an i5 600k on an atx case. Is there any board I can upgrade to or do I have to hunt down a z170?
  8. Alright, thanks guys. These builds are great reference.
  9. I'm in the U.S. and please that would help a lot.
  10. I want to do that, but the 970 is a ways to go. I'm having trouble finding parts that will allow me to buy it.
  11. A friend commissioned me to build him a computer for 850 dollars. I know he won't overclock, and he will probably max out at a 1080 display. I don't think he will do any content creation, and won't benchmark, but I still want to build something worthwhile. Is this a good starting off point?
