  1. have not tried data disks, but dvds and cds I have tried
  2. 4) This firmware update can works with Windows based OS(Windows 8, 7, Vista and XP) Is is possible that it just does not work with windows 10?
  3. yeah it's an older model, though, I got it for around 30 bucks on newegg a while back. By flashing do you mean updating the firmware again?
  4. I'm looking at the 70ish dollar UH12NS40 model is all else fails but I would really like to fix this ones if I could, thank you for the response though!
  5. I have an LG DVD drive, model number UH12NS29, it is discontinued and I downloaded the latest firmware for it. When I try to playback a movie it simply does not recognize that there is media on a disc. I have confirmed that the sata cable, the discs I am using, and the power cable are all functioning properly. I would like to eventually start copying the files to my computer but I need to start with playback. Any recommendations on different troubleshooting steps to try? Outside of just buying a new drive. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
  6. -Rig Name: none -CPU: I5 4690k overclocked to 4.0 Ghz with no voltage tweaks -GPU: Nvidia EVGA 970 FTW w/ACX -RAM: 2x8Gb DDR3 Corsair Vengeance pro 2400Mhz
  7. I was trying it with that too, but why would my gpu only be running at a max clock speed of 540
  8. Hi, so today I started trying to increase the performance of my pc by overclocking both my graphics card and my processor. I have my processor, an I5-4690K, clocked at 4.0Ghz and it runs just fine with my corsair H110i GT cooler and I was trying to overclock my evga GTX 970 and I was upping the core clock by 100 and things we going alright but for some reason the clock speed would jump up to 1468 when the base clock is only 1216 which I thought was odd. I then kept trying to get it to run on 3DMark the best I could, I even went down to plus 50 Mhz an still wasn't going well, but then after several tries my 3DMark score went from about 2700 to 1250 (I have the advanced version of 3DMark) and my core clock only goes up to 540 Mhz in cpu-z. Is my card damaged? If not how do I fix it. Any Help is greatly appreciated, thank you!
  9. it should work now. How many more fans should I add? I already bought the GTX 970 because nvidia software is soooo much better and the little bit of extra performance that the 390 gives just isn't worth it. Also I will only have an sdd and a hard drive, so I don't need many hdd cages
  10. Hi, I am building a new system and am looking for an estetically pleasing build. I am looking at getting either the fractal design r5 or the NZXT red and black H440 and any other good cases suggestions are welcome. My question is would it be fesable to mount the H110i GT in the top of the NZXT case or the Fractal design case, and if so would overclocking still work well even with the minimal ventialtion that the two cases have? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/64HzQ7 Thank you
  11. what about MSI? like the gaming 5 board that I have in the pcpartpicker. I looked at the reviews and they were all good but I want to find other options in case there is a good board that is on sale either black friday or cyber monday.
  12. screw AMD gpus man, I was looking into that but it does not offer a big enough performance jump for me to buy that over the 970
