  1. its wccftech so take it with a grain of salt.... but when u think about it this would make complete sense.. the intel - amd partnership that got announced will last until koduri gives intel finally a decent igpu .. and then they wont need amd anymore. Source: https://wccftech.com/exclusive-raja-koduri-will-seeking-new-horizons-intel/
  2. just tried it .... 1000 dollar gaming pc... with whatever CPU/GPU it chooses.... and the result.... i3 7100.... vega 56..... really? i3? rofl ....
  3. instead of talking about it ... you asus..... should do something about it .... intel doesnt have to know.... just release a new bios ... like u do all the time .....and fix this z370 nonsense...
  4. for the same price you are choosing between 10 or 16 cores.... so for rendering..... definitely go for 1950x... moar cores will help with that...
  5. some1 should test if the locked CF chips like the 8400 are able to be OCed on the z370 boards through base clock overclocking feature..... cause some gigabyte and asrock offer this option ... it was done in the past with the first gen skylake chips.... or just use the multicore enhacement thing that was mentioned in some reviews and lock all the cores to the turbo boost speed of the cpu. Edit: BCLK overclocking on the locked i5 CF chips might work
  6. 7. The users obviously couldn’t believe their luck, so they proceeded to benchmark the chips and they found that they performed exactly like 1800Xs. Why exactly this is happening is unclear. Each CPU is tested right before it’s packaged to be shipped, so it’s implausible for the manufacturing facility not to have known that those 1600s and 1600Xs they were shipping weren’t 1800Xs. It’s possible that this was a decision made simply as the result of higher demand on Ryzen 5 1600X and 1600 CPUs leading AMD to use some of its less purchased 8-core dies as Ryzen 5 1600Xs and 1600s to meet the demand. One thing is for certain though, this gives a whole new meaning to the phrase silicon lottery. Considering how good coffe lake is looking it isn't surprising at all source: http://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-5-1600x-cpus-8-working-cores-spotted-wild/
  8. Kaby lake with more cores? Source: https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/PC_Shopping/M.1502192689.A.E11.html https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/PC_Shopping/M.1502192689.A.E11.html https://videocardz.com/71740/intel-core-i7-8700k-pictured-i3-8350-and-i3-8100-specs-leaked
  9. i am having a feeling..... that the TR cpus ... will be unlockable in the future....... to feature up to 32 cores... like epyc has... as response to future intel offerings....amd is reporting good yields with ryzen... its not imposible.... they did it before ..... with gpus...
  10. what if all this has been the biggest troll ever and the blind test in budapest + 3d mark leaks was the low end sku of vega agenst the 1080.... and the high end is actually going to cost this much and has much better performance
  11. i call bs on that... amd is not stupid to price a 1080 level card that high... or they might be hiding something....
  12. Source:http://wccftech.com/amd-rx-vega-benchmark-leaked-specs-confirmed-1630mhz-8gb-hbm2-484gbs-of-bandwidth/ If the 3d mark performance translates into games and if it gets the right price tag it might still sell well despite all the dissapointment surrounding the FE card.
  13. well... those results and specs are rather dissapointing.... considering how much hype amd put into vega....hell my rx 480 CF setup gets better results here and there....imo ... it would be better and cheaper for amd to .... make a 1080 and 1080ti card ... based on polaris architecture... rather than create a new one...constantly delay it .... and not being sure how well it will perform... if it has the same specs as the RX gaming card... it is going to be in the same ballpark performance wise.... + 10 or 15 % thanks to drivers... just for comparison.... on the nvidia side
  14. so after reading the reviews... i can say this... the 7900x 35% faster... the 7820x is 20% faster..... so... is that it?...only that much? ...i mean we are comparing... hedt vs mainstream..... for double the price?.... plus the heat output...plus the power consumption?......not to mention the gaming performance.... lol... ryzen is still damn good option ... i would never thought i would say that after all the hype that came with skylake X
  15. so cpu benchmarks are as expected with 2 more cores + higher clock speed... but i wouldnt call it .... out of this world.hell it geats beaten by 6950x in some tests.if ryzen 7 had a 10 core part it would be that far off....the gaming performance didnt blow me away either....he power consumption is quite high for my liking at 378 W..... and not a single mention of temps.... must be runing quite hot ... as the overclocker der8auer showed.... overall... its an ok cpu... but not at that price...
  16. In my opinion as long as threadripper offers 80 % the performance of Skylake X for cheap + extra pcie lanes... its going to be a way better value than Skylake... period
  17. Also a line that caught my eye is this one in regards to LNG overclocking.... Also Guru went on to say this about CPUs available at launch..... Expected little bit higher clock tbh. 18. More good news. Coffe Lake wont work on the 1151 socket. Yay. and whats the point of a kaby lake refresh? Source: http://wccftech.com/intel-coffee-lake-delayed-2018-8th-gen-kaby-lake-refresh/ http://winfuture.de/news,97927.html https://www.golem.de/news/cpu-roadmap-kaby-lake-r-im-september-2017-coffee-lake-im-februar-2018-1706-128176.html
  19. Given that all these skylake results are most likely from the overclocking event at Computex makes me think that they were achieved on LN2. As expected SK-X has single threaded advantage but multithreaded performance isnt all that impresive. Geekbench is a weird benchmarking tool anyway. So i would take these results with a whack ton of salt.
