  1. Hmm tried what you said, i think my card doesn't like a high voltage or something, i dont know. I did what you said and i put the core clock to around 300 more, and it didn't crash but i was getting a score of 8000...... lowered it by 100, same thing, again..same thing. My asic quality is 75 percent, which means that maybe i shouldn't be playing with the voltage too much. I dont know really, i give up, im happy with the card anyway, just would have liked to get more performance out of it for free, oh well.
  2. Thank you for that!, ill download MSI afterburner now and give it a crack.
  3. Didn't make a difference I give up, spent way too long haha. I'm happy with better than 99% in that particular test I guess
  4. Thanks, didn't think of that. Also increasing my voltage max limit, would that stop it from crashing?
  5. Hey guys, Having issues overclocking my graphics card, I have a gigabyte g1 gaming 980ti, and according to the internet and elsewhere, you are supposed to be able to achieve about a 1400-1500mhz. This is what I am able to achieve without touching the voltage: I can put the frequency to 1400hm and put the offset min voltage all the way to max and it doesn't crash in fire strike, however I get a much lower score which is really weird? Can someone tell me if I am doing something wrong or any tips? I tried to use MSI afterburner, but it doesn't work on windows 10.

  7. This is actually good news for AMD, becoming more lean and efficient, will most likely save them in the long run. Yeah its bad news for employees, but it's business, nothing in comparison to Qantas. You will find that we might even see even more value coming out of AMD than before, I personally prefer the other team, but still.
  8. Love the build mate, absolutely amazing. Excuse my ignorance, but do you usually need a pump for a water-cooling build? I couldn't spot one with your build, or do you not need one for hardline?
  9. Na i don't actually, parents have office 365, so ill steal one of those licences haha.
  10. Ah damn, wish you didn't tell me that
  11. 20 bucks more than Windows 8, ended up being around 159aud (110US). Preferred the easy, plug in USB and install option that having to upgrade via windows 8 or burning ISOs to a DVD (which i have no optical drive)
  12. Hey guys! I just ordered this last night: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($525.00 @ CPL Online) CPU Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC12DX_BK 68.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($55.00 @ CPL Online) Motherboard: MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($269.00 @ Centre Com) Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2666 Memory ($195.00 @ CPL Online) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($265.00 @ PCCaseGear) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card ($1089.00 @ IJK) Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($109.00 @ Centre Com) Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($199.00 @ PCCaseGear) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit) Wireless Network Adapter: Asus PCE-AC68 802.11a/b/g/n/ac PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter ($105.00 @ CPL Online) Total: $2811.00 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-10-01 16:52 AEST+1000 To use with my Dell U3415w, pretty keen for it to arrive, got the email saying all the parts shipped today, should be here mid next week. This will be my first build, pretty nervous but after watching a lot of tutorials it seems pretty easy! Ill be using this primarily for gaming at 3440x1440, I also wanted it to be SLI ready for the future (was nervous about 850w but a lot of people assured me it would be fine) Theme i am going for is black and white, I have white monitor speakers and a sub, so it will go nicely with those. I have some old Noctua NF-P12-1300 54.4 CFM 120mm Fans from an old computer, four of them actually. Ill put two at the front of the case as intake, and one at the back for exhaust and at the top for exhaust. Ill set the cpu fan so it pulls air from the front through he back.
  13. I just bought what i linked in my previous post, but opted for the 500gb SSD instead, pretty keen for it to arrive, ill make a build log.
  14. Thanks a lot for the information! Would i be able to fit two of these in the case i chose though!? (eventually)
