  1. I do not have wind7/8, bought 10 right from the start. I have not had a windows based PC for years.
  2. Not worried about driver etc... I just wanted to make sure there were no issues boot it up from the SSD that has my windows account. Thank you for your help
  3. Ok, had to get a new motherboard. I have a SSD with Windows 10 on it. After I get the PC rebuilt again and boot it up with the SSD with Windows 10 installed, will I have any issues? Meaning, will windows boot from the SSD even with a new motherboard? Noob question I know. I think it should work just fine, right?
  4. Thank you. As soon as my new ram arrives I will see if that fixes it. If not, I will send the mobo back to newegg for a replacement. It should still be under warranty. Thanks for your help
  5. Only have one pc and no friends have a new DDR4 capable system.
  6. No reason to update bios other than it was out of date. When I ran the MSI live utility it cam up out of date. This utility is what started my spiral down to beyond danger and frustration. My fault entirely, but MSI messed up for allowing such a shitty utility to be used by consumers IMHO
  7. Yes, its all seems weird to me. However, I still am left with a computer that will not boot to post and I keep getting the ram led debug light. (which flashes between the ram light and cpu light)
  8. Yes, I have tested each slot multiple times. Each time I keep getting the debug lights n matter how I configure the dimm slots with my ram sticks. Im thinking more and more the motherboard is dead... But again, this makes no sense to me as the LED's light up and the fans connected to the motherboard all work, even the CPU fan...
  9. Any idea of what happened? Seems like the mobo is dead now?
  10. Yes. Removed the battery as well as the mobo jumper. (However, I had to use a paper clip to bridge the gap between the pins since I did not have a jumper.) Still get those debugging lights which makes me think something weird happened with the RAM... The Led light flickers to the CPU one as well, but when I install one ram stick in slot 4, it stays purely on the RAM light. When I move the ram stick to other dimm slots, I get the RAM/CPU lights (again, the CPU light only flashes on, then goes back to the RAM light but keep flashing back and forth)
  11. I have tried one stick in all slots, (used both sticks one through by itself) two in the first two slots, two in the last two slots, and slots 1 & 3, etc..
  12. MSI Z170A PC Mate Yes, tried every possible config with ram sticks that I could think of.
