  1. DDU did the trick. I dont know why. But it did. Thank you!
  2. Hey, I'm getting a "win32kbase.sys" bluescreen while gaming since the last nvidia update: Minidump: https://we.tl/t-aDDLiqemKs I have no clue why. Any ideas?
  3. TL;DR If you are here for the solution: LINK: Set the page file to "system" and reset your BIOS and install the latest BIOS. Then leave the BIOS settings on absolute 100% default except the fan curve and RES BAR! Have a nice day! I can finally CLOSE this TOPIC FOR GOOD! I FOUND A PERMANENT FIX! I tried gaming again and it failed like always. BSOD! Dump file wouldn't write to the system. 0% as always. I was so desperate again that I did go on ASUS website for the 18439082x time and there was a new BIOS update. Also I found out that the dumps wouldn't write to my hard drive because of a wierd thing with the PAGE FILE! I thought this would be another pointless BIOS update and the PAGE FILE stuff wouldnt do anything but it SOMEHOW FIXED EVERYTHING! I've set the page file to SYSTEM and installed the BIOS UPDATE + BIOS update resetted the whole BIOS Settings again. I only changed the fan curve and turned RESIZABLE BAR ON AND IT FREAKING WORKS! I immediately noticed something differend while booting up. The whole system felt more responsive. I'm extremely confused why everything now works, but I couldn't care less. So if you have the same problem: Reset your bios, install the latest BIOS update and set the PAGE FILE to "System". I did try a game and I played for 6 hours now straight WITHOUT ANY CRASH OR WIERD STUFF HAPPING. I CANNOT BELIEVE IT! I CAN FINALLY USE MY PC HOWEVER I WISH!!!! And without buying new hardware. I knew you could fix this mess somehow! Here is what my page file settings look like: @pando504
  4. No. I sadly stopped playing cs2. Still getting bluescreens while playing it. The fear of getting banned for abandoning is too big. Abandoning also lowers your trust factor ingame. That means I only get cheaters now anyway since I crashed so often I'm starting to give up. It's either a hardware failure or a very specific bug in nvidias drivers or CS2 itself. Probably the cause is a mixture of driver and cs2 together in this very specific setup. I cannot narrow down the cause without buying new hardware. Dumps somehow don't get written to my harddrive no matter what I do. The errors are probably so strong that even the Bluescreen system doesnt work correctly anymore. Some say its ram, some say the nvidia card is faulty. There are so many options and things that can go wrong. I was hoping that someone suffered the same problem and had an easy fix. But no. I tried every single step people told me and still nothing. Still bluescreen. There is only one thing left to try: Nvidia studio drivers. I didnt try that so far. But I highy doubt that it will get rid of my problem.
  5. Found the solution (well kind of) - It was 2 problems. One is a "tier0.dll" in the game files that makes trouble and the other one was the NVIDIA driver itself. I I reinstalled the nvidia driver with wiping it with DDU first and deleted tier0.dll and verified CS2 games files on steam and the problem was kinda gone. Seems like I was looking for a hardware failure but under "event viewer -> Windows Logs -> Application is where you can find software errors and thats where I found the stuff I needed to know BUT now after 1-2 hours there is a 99% chance of having a BSOD: (not my picture but I have the EXACT SAME error) and the problem really is: Googling this error only reveals "it might be a driver issue". - So basically I shifted the problem to something else now AAAAAND the stress continues. And no: I don't have a dump file because the bluescreen stays on "0%" -.-
  6. I found the solution. It wasn't a hardware fault. Indeed it was a software one. I was just looking in the wrong place. Edit: January 27th. I WAS WRONG. NOT FIXED!!!! Event Viewer - Windows Logs - Applications Log (Thank you Reddit User in the CSGO subreddit) and BOOM there it was. 2 Errors: CS2 "tier0.dll" made problems and "nvwgf2umx.dll" from the Nvidia driver. I fixed it by giving tier0.dll in the CS2 folder full permissions and reinstalling nvidias driver this time with DDU.
  7. Hey, this forum is my absolute last resort. I try to be as detailed as possible with my problem and what I tried so far. Maybe you guys have a solution. I'm kinda having an idea on what it could be but this involves money and may not even solve my problem. My system: AMD RYZEN 7 5800X with a Noctua DH14 cooler 32 GB RAM ( i don't remember the brand but it has an HS and 3200 MHz and all 4x 8 GB sticks are the same.) ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) II MSI RTX 4060 TI 8 GB VENTUS 2x Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Z PS: Corsair RM 750x (750 Watt) How it started: I was happily enjoying CSGO on my old Ryzen 1st GEN System until CS2 came around. Since CS2 wasnt exactly hitting the FPS numbers I was expecting I decided to upgrade from a b350 board, a 1700X Ryzen and a GTX 960 to something better. Everything was bought new, except the RAM and the PSU which never failed and the PSU was only 2 years old so I decided to use them in the new build again. New hardware arrived. I installed everything correctly. Tested it with Memtest and Prime95 and everything seemed fine. No issues with XMP or anything. No errors and the system seemed stable. EXCEPT FOR GAMING as it seems. The problem: CS2 crashes to the desktop without any error. I play 30 minutes and its gone. I don't have this problem with a Premiere Pro Render or any other game (such as Flatout Ultimate Carnage). But my premiere renders are short and Flatout doesn't nearly use as much ressources as CS2. So just CS2 crashes. But it does so without any error or warning. The game stutters and I'm back at desktop just like that. No event viewer logs. No nothing. Checked the hardware and RAM usage: It doesn't even get close to maxing out. Temperatures are normal. This can't be a widespread issue aka "the games fault" because many more people would complain then. So I narrowed it down to being a hardware fault. But that is the problem: WHAT KIND OF HARDWARE IS FAILING? Recently something odd happend. A BSOD occurred. Failing was a system component: dxgmms2.sys - But that was just a DIRECT X error and it was recommended to "Install newest nvidia drivers" which I did! Bluescreen didn't happen anymore but the closing issue did. HERE ARE MY BIOS SETTINGS. Maybe you see something that I missed: What I did so far: - Multiple hours of MEMTEST and Prime 95. Absolutely rock stable. No errors and no crash. - newest bios drivers and newest amd, nvidia and sound drivers I could find is installed - reduced memory frequency to 2133 mhz and completely disabled XMP and any overclocking on the entire BIOS on anything I could find. - disabled windows notifications - tried new pephirals such as a new mouse and new keyboard - rearranged the RAM - tried without my sound card. What it could be: I googled extensively the problem. Most people say it's ram or PSU or temperatures. That's exactly the problem. Everyone of those is fine. The PC never shutted down due to a PSU outtage. And a PSU wouldnt close a program on windows. The whole PC would fail. A RAM failure is also not possible. Since I ran multiple instances of MEMTEST for HOURS. Even with PRIME 95 along side it. If a RAM is failing I would need to have an error there too. And the temperatures are at a max of 70 degrees thanks to my coolers and the case fans. I still think it could be the PSU or RAM. But I don't have evidence. Both seem absoluty fine. I don't wanna spend 300 $ to buy both new to end up with the same problem again. I'm out of ideas. Maybe you have one? Maybe someone experienced the same suffering as me and is willing to help. I highly would appreciative that. I cannot play CS2 anymore. The danger of my PC failing is too high and that saddends me. Everything can game CS2 on christmas except for me. That sucks. Anyway Merry Christmas everyone
  8. I have absolutely the same issue right now with a NH-D14 from Noctua and a 5800X. - 50-60°C in IDLE and 80-90 in full load. And sometimes it drops to 30. Seems rather high. If you find a solution let me know
  9. Hi, I need an easy cooling solution for a 5800X. I have a NH-D14 from Noctua and this doesn't seem to be enough. I need a new easy to install solution that cooles the processor down as much as possible. So I can sleep at night. IDLE temps of 30 ° C and max of 70 ° C are the goal. Please no custom water block solutions or something that would require setting up a whole water cooling system. I have 2 left hands when it comes to this. Just a very easy to install solution. Thanks!
  10. I think I found somewhat. The cooler was mounted properly but I changed the direction the fans are blowing to, to the rear of the case. Also I opened the side panel. Now were are suddely looking at under 30 °C temps. LOL? Seems like the entire PC doesnt get enough airflow. Even though the case is brand new Seems like I must heavenly invest in some case fans. Seems like a NH-D14 isnt enough to cool a 5800X! Well... Usually I keep my processor for 6+ years and I don't wanna reduce its lifespan by running it at furnace level temps. That's why I usually buy a cooling solution thats way to big for my CPU. So I never need to worry about that again. @all Ambient temps are currenlty 18-22 Celsius. No issues here!
  11. Maybe this video will better explain my point. Edit: Prime95 eventually boosted everything up to 100% and 105W TDP and stayed roughly under 90°C under full load. But is this really a best case scenario for a Noctua NH-D14? Which was about 100$ when I bought it! Normally this cooler should be able to overclock this CPU very easily!
  12. Why didn't a 1700X fluciate that widly at tempertures? Why is a 10 W TDP uplift causing 20 ° C uplift in temperatures? Something is not right. Or maybe I'm dumb IDK.
  13. Hey, I just upgraded my system to a 5800X. Before that I had a 1700X and I decided to re-use my cooler again. A noctua NH-D14. Also I changed the motherboard from a low end B350 PC MATE from MSI to a B550 ROG GAMING WIFI II ASUS board. And since the uplift in TDP from 95W to 105W is very tiny. It should roughy be at the same temperatures... Am I right? Well no. My system is idiling at 50 C and it goes wildly to 60-70 and then 50 again... *sigh* but even with PRIME95 never OVER 80. And that is the wierd part. It's not overheating and it's not staying cool. I used exactly the amount of paste (pea sized in the middle) I was told putting on it. The BIOS settings are unchanged. Normaly a 105 W CPU with a freaking NOCTUA DH-14 should be at least below 40 on idle. Or is this totally normal?
