It's kind of funny how my system hasn't mentally aged nearly as much as it maybe ought to have.  I still think of it as "current", though to anyone looking for a new system, they would see such old tech as, well, old, more so even than I look back at sandy bridge, and though I consciously understand this, it still blows my mind lol

I just faced this dilemma when I replaced a pc for a family member that said it was over a decade old and I brought the other one back and looked at it and thought... this is Sandybridge... I totally could have just upgraded ram and storage and it would have been fine (mind you it was only an i3-2130, but still the person barely uses it)... And then I stop and look at used prices for 4C8T sandy/ivy parts and I think... well actually it might have been worth it just to swap into a 3200G like I did.

But I totally took home the itx mobo/ram/cpu that was in it and if I need to do gpu troubleshooting in the future, that can be my known good system hahaha.
