Yeah the NewEgg one didn't really have anything to impress me. There was a nice discount on the Cosmos case though.

    That MSI card claims it's $1000 off...but that seems....wrong.

Plus the fact NewEgg charges shipping on so much stuff kinda seems...blah....

And it's NewEgg. I'd rather pay more, and get it elsewhere.

Yeah you can't trust their base price.  I posted recently about a company that has priced their entire catalogue of parts at $300 with varying levels of discount to bring each of them down to the $10 - $30 they are actually worth.

Same about the shipping too.  They don't seem to have any threshold for free shipping over a certain cost.  These days that's enough to completely kill a retailer because if they won't offer it, someone else will, and when the difference is often only a few dollars anyway, that's enough to tip it over the edge.

Canada Computers actually has some solid deals. The 2700 is going for $219...cheaper than it is in the US.

I stand corrected. The 2700 will be significantly cheaper than in the US at $189.

Yeah just saw it scrolling through the other stuff.  I'm not planning to upgrade my platform at this point and not with one of those if I was going to, even though it's an amazing deal for anyone who would get good use from it, but they do indeed seem to have a couple other interesting offers.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I do get to plan a build for my friends...wife though. So at least I get a little excitement there ?
