Just finished compiling this data.  Pricing is in CAD, with all sales/promotions included.  Products that were obviously a scam/fake, or had drastically out of line pricing (lower capacity costing more than the higher one, or just a huge leap from one tier to the next) have been excluded.

Both charts show the same data, I'm just providing it in linear and log form.

 

Additionally, here it is in $/GB format:

This confirms a few things that I've felt recently:

  • Sweet spot for Flash Drives is around 256 GB
  • Sweet spot for SSDs is around 1 TB
  • SSDs are actually cheaper than flash drives if you need a sufficiently large capacity

    I've been wanting to get a 2TB SSD, but I want price/GB to get better than the 1TB version :/ we're getting close though!
