Part of me wants to know the thought process that took it from having completed not one but two successful scans to deciding "you know what you could really use?  A third scan!" but another part of me isn't sure I would survive having my mind contorted that badly.

    No telling what happens within the twisted mind of Microsoft Windows and its "Security" system. I've had cases where it involuntarily scanned folders that I told it to ignore - then tried to force file quarantine. I guess it works if one doesn't do anything strange (visiting bad websites)?

    I don’t think a third or fourth scan would matter if Windows Defender doesn’t have signatures or their behavior blocking is insignificant.
