Saying that there's Unofficial ways of getting it working is not misinformation.
Saying that it will work and be 100% reliable is.
You said "it works", which to some people means it has no issues. Remember, not every company has a good IT department. Look at Equifax...

What mission critical computer would be running unsupported software in the first place? We're talking about an average gamer here.
If people are saying "it works" when talking about unsupported software they might think it works. Thats why you cant spread misinformation

Your point is? It still works.
If it was say, a mission critical computer in a business, not having that full support could lead to severe issues later down the road.

That's extremely exaggerated.
Just because something works doesnt mean its supported

I can also get DOOM working on a printer but that doesnt mean its supported

how long do you think it'll take to learn the basics and specifics effectively?
Depending on how long you practice, if you do the 1 and 15 minutes a day you do in school probably 2-3 months

OK. So:
Should I go back and learn the specifics from the start to the current point?
or
Finish all of the algebra basics and learn the specifics after.
Just start with the basics, then expand. I did what Dash suggested and learned the basics on Khan Academy then used my moms calc book for more info

Here they do Algebra 1 in 9th, Algebra 2 in 10th (Academic - Im in Canada) and then Precalc and then calc. You dont really get to choose your classes before grade 11, just the course which is Academic math

but you are assuming all miners do that, and you are wrong, their are also a lot of 1-2 card miners. and most miners scaled their investment.
first use 1 GPU use the money to get another, then 2 more, then a extra rig. If I would of scaled my invest of my gaming card I could easily have 10+ now for a basically free investment.
Im pretty sure most people are pissed off at the miners that are buying tons of GPUs, not the people who are using their card or 2 to make some spare cash.

Sorry but if we're going to talk about non proper observations and conjecture based opinions, I have nothing to go on but appeals to authority and established tech youtubers that we know have contact with actual industry reps carry much more weight than random guy on the internet asserting things as true cause "he's seen people doing x"
Thats a good point, Ill take that into consideration.

When I said this was like politics, I fucking meant it. These arguments are very very reminiscent of how political threads used to roll here.
All the "citation please" lmao. I agree

Being a miner means anyone who does it, be it 1 GPU in you main PC during off hours or a wall full (50+ GPU's)
I consider myself a miner (in the past) and all I did was use my 290x years ago.
My definitions would be for Ether mining because thats what most people do now, 6-10 GPUs would be a light full time miner, 10-20 would be a medium full time miner, 20-40 high full time miner, and 40+ extreme full time miner

Anecdotal evidence is not a valid citation.
Youre not going to get a valid citation. You know exactly what Im talking about, you just dont want to admit it.

Citation needed.
Ive seen multiple people on the forums who are light miners buying 7 or 8 RX 480s/1060s. Unless you have a lot of money most of us cant afford to buy that.

Because RMA rates are now through the damn roof and cos AMD and Nvidia want repeat loyal customers to get their hands on GPUs.
They don't like miners as they are typically not loyal and are typically not invested in either company.
Most of them invested more money in one purchase then we will in a lifetime
-
While I hate miners as much as the next gamer, I think this is a downright unethical move. What happened to all the support about being able to use your product as you choose, doing what you want with it. Not having companies turn down warranty because you used it in a way they didnt want you to. I dont think that this is ok for them to do.

What's wrong with Windows Store games (which are real games, not those mobile ones) ?
Its another platform you have to put money into when 95% of games are already on one platform that works phenomenally. Plus, Windows Store will never have the mod support that Steam gives. Plus it just looks ugly as hell

aren't those games limited to half vsync or 30fps on most people's monitor?
The older ones probably, the latest one (disk wise) was released for P4s. The ones on steam run at 60FPS for me
