  1. AND SO IT ENDS! I want to give a MASSIVE thanks to the major sponsors, MSI, EK, Corsair and Cablemod! Extremely accommodating and was a pleasure to partner with them throughout the journey. This beast will be displayed at PAX in Melbourne on Nov 4-6. I won't be there sadly due to holidays... Anyway, on to the final piccies. Hope you enjoy them!
  2. Hi guys, More of a textual update on progress, I've received some additional EK fittings to complete the build. It was somewhat of a challenge to build a custom loop with 2 rads and SLI config (and a big res!). I really tried to ensure that the loop was complex but not overly "busy" and flows well performance-wise. The case is plenty tall, it was more so the width which I had little room to play with. Otherwise the 600C is a nice case and is an improvement in terms of materials used (steel front and top case rather than plastic). I am also waiting for the Corsair Commander mini and RGB lighting kit x4. Coupled with the RGB lights on the motherboard, its going to look quite spectacular. I am going to keep the hue simple, using a combination of blue and white shades (fade, colour cycle) to showcase the build. I would say the build is about 80% complete. I do also wish to advise that once complete, this will be showcased at the MSI stand - PAX Melbourne 2016. Unfortunately I will not be there as I am going on holidays starting from this Friday (yay!).
  3. Some more awesome @Corsair goodies! Another shot of the gorgeous cables by Cablemod Front panel just fresh out of the spray booth. Top panel done this morning. Absolutely stoked with the quality of the paint finish, an amateur such as me but handled with a pro spray gun and mock spray booth at my buddies place. Sorry @Corsair, but now your 600C looks even better with the Heritage blue splash
  4. Thanks to @CableMod for the full suite of cable goodies! These cables are gorgeous and are made of extremely good quality. The colour really pops too!
  5. Super clean EK backplates for the TF6 (MSI) card. And yes, I still need to screw the bolt in the second pic.
  6. Sorry for the lack of updates... Work and waiting on certain parts to be delivered. - Painted fans and radiators in Heritage Blue (fans were so fiddly to disassemble!) - Assembled CPU block - EK Supremacy EVO X99 Nickel - Assembled x2 EK 1080/70 TF6 Nickel Assembled EK Monarch block RAM sticks. Formerly Corsair Vengeance LPX - Stripped Corsair 600C top and front panels to be prepared for custom blue spray booth treatment (will be using a pro spray gun) Things to do this week - Await EK Nickel GTX backplates for delivery - Case painting as per above - Mount radiators, fans, other bits - Start custom loop configuration
  7. Hello All! My second project into PC modding, and I am thankful to be partnering with MSI, EKWB, Corsair and Cablemod for making this project a reality. This build is a powerhouse! MB: MSI X99A GODLIKE GAMING CARBON CPU: Intel 6950X Extreme GPU: MSI 1070 X 8G SLI Case: Corsair 600C Carbide Inverse PSU: Corsair RM1000x SSD: Corsair GS 480gb RAM: Corsair LPX Vengeance 32gb Cables: Cablemod RM1000x Kit (light blue) Water-cooling: About 11kgs worth of EK gear! Renders below. I'm fairly new in using Sketchup and Lumion, so please note there are details missing in the final render compared to the actual final build. I'm sure you get the concept though. The aim is to make it really clean and symmetrical. Sadly I will not be keeping this build, but it will be a fun ride nonetheless! -Micdeez
  8. How come my build isn't on the vote polls lol. "Project Insidious".

  10. Thanks mate, kind words. I bought them from Performance PC's. I think you can also get them from DazMode too. They are the dimmable White LED version 12". They are very bright!! But good quality. Good of luck with your black/white build. Be sure to post it here
  11. Thanks mate, I'll have a read through some tutorials and videos first to get a feel. I'm usually ok with trying new things, the idea of CAD though had me overwhelmed but the idea of creating designs has me intrigued!
