500gb Samsung drive with about 200gb left it feels slow when loading Maya, Unity and Astroneer (when i feel like playing at 15fps) but monitoring task manager revealed that the ram is capping
Hi,
I own an Acer laptop with an i7 5500u and only 4gb ram. Is upgrading the ram to 8gb or 16gb worth it? I don't play demanding games but still suffer in performance, is this part of the reason?
Thanks,
i can the Xeon in a pack from my retailer with 16gb ram and an Asus e3 pro gaming motherboard for $629 (aud) or the i5 with an Asus prime z270a still with 16gb for $679 (aud)
So, I'm planning my new build and I need to choose between these 2 processors. I mostly do work in Maya, After Effects and the like but i still want to play games like Astroneer and Battlefront. I'm putting a 1060 in the rig and 16gb ram. Thanks!
well my younger sibling is a huge console gamer. so we have an xbox one in our living room so if the game does (for whatever reason) get the point where I think xbox would a suitable platform I do have one to test the stability of the game but that being said PC is still in my opinion the best platform
from my little experience in game dev, developing for platforms other PC can be a real pain. Xbox development has allowed indie developers to apply for a unity sdk/module but the application process is slow
alright thanks, I think I will stick with unity as I am familiar with unity I was just want to ask if there isn't a game engine people would use instead for 1 reason or another
I'm developing a game like astroneer and was wanting to see people thoughts on what game engine i should develop in. I am familiar with unity but i am willing to learn other software.
Thanks
