  1. So my 980 ti is no longer getting above 595 mhz on the core... Here's the scores I got on Tuesday: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10374235 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10374326 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10374399 And here's the highest two I got today: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10444839 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10444957 I tried multiple times with different settings and even the same settings I used on Tuesday and it's not getting over 595 mhz. It's not the temps because they're staying under 50° C. I did update 3Dmark but that shouldn't have affected it. It does look like the driver was updated on the 21st (I'm now running version 361.43) which was after we did my tests on Tuesday (obviously). It does have a custom BIOS, but I'm not sure what it is. I just bought it from @Remixt and he left it on there for me. It is the EVGA 980 ti sc ACX 2.0 version. Any ideas about what it could be and how I can fix it?
  2. Well, it runs on the VM. the mouse controls are crap but I can stream it to my regular desktop and it's fine. plays like crap without being able to use my 980ti and it randomly crashed after 5 minutes of playing but it was pretty unplayable anyway...
  3. Tried all three. it crashed sooner with -dxlevel 81 but was exactly the same with 90 and 95 I kinda had it working on a linux mint 17.3 VM but the mouse control rendered it completely unplayable... currently trying to create a windows VM to try it on...
  4. I've done all this. when I try to do it via steam it crashes immediately. Steam works and runs fine. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times.
  5. So I'm trying to get portal 2 to run on my computer. (I did try and post in the "support" site general discussion [Link:https://steamcommunity.com/app/620/discussions/0/451848855018269080/ ]) Most of what is going on is listed in that thread. Short story is the game crashes immediately when I use the shortcut and if I use the .exe it crashes at the loading screen. I have dual Xeons, 980ti and the OS (windows 10) and game are on SSDs. I've tried everything I can think of and no luck. ANY AND ALL HELP APPRECIATED! thanks.
  6. Gotta get that Graphics card before the monitor... I've got a similar thing going
  7. seriously though they at least should put the basics like Core count and stuff. But hey, I usually only use Newegg to search anyway. but even that is broken sometimes...
  8. A parts list would be awesome (that way I don't screw up and get the wrong parts )
  9. yeah, thing is I have to turn the fans down every time I restart or power on my computer and they really don't go down that low... <shrugs>
  10. do you have links for where to get the components? I might try it but I really don't have much of a clue when it comes to building circuits, could be fun to try though.
  11. ehh, I could get the job done. How involved/detailed is it?
  12. So the title pretty much says it all. I have this system: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/royalba94/saved/P3vrxr and I'm not sure the best thing to do to make it quieter. I am planning on getting an NZXT Hue+ whenever possible (everywhere is out of stock) so I was considering getting some Noiseblocker B12-P fans (Love the white blades, goes with my white theme) and calling it decent but I'm thinking I maybe should get some kind of a fan controller too? (the built in one is pretty meh) Anyway, Let me know what ya'll think. Thanks!
  13. Looking to see if anyone knows a place that has one with pretty much all their key 'colors' and sells individual switches too. Only one I've found so far is WASD keyboards .com ...
  14. I have to get a replacement switch for my keyboard but just getting one switch makes no sense. Does anyone have suggestions on where to buy the switch and a good/useful Cherry MX key tester?
