There is a line out jack, but when i use that i get no sound at all and just static. To explain further, i am using the 2nd/older pc as a media pc to watch vods or youtube and music ect. and the 1st pc/newer to run my games and video editing. I am not that tech savy as to know what to do to change ports ect but i am looking into it atm. PC 2 has a Gigabyte Z97P-D3 motherboard and the 1st PC has a Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 3 if that helps.

Hi, I just recently got a second pc as a full upgrade for my old one. I am wondering if there is any way besides a mixer to connect both pc's audio together. I have tried a standard 3.5mm male to male jack using the 2nd pc headphone to the 1st pc line in but that gives a static hum and i am not sure if it is safe to do so for prolonged periods. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
