I feel like it's because in games like left 4 dead you are in a life death situation and don't need the luxury of water to take a pill. Example irl when someone is having a stroke and they need aspirin they always chew it, you don't have time for water and it works much quicker (so i've been told) when you chew it.
 
So basically it's because game characters are bad ass.

So, to recap, last Tuesday at the Halo 5 midnight launch my Game Stop had a cardboard statue of the Master Chief and Spartan Locke. I asked if I could have it, and they said they weren't sure. Tonight I asked again, and luckily they said yes. I really wanted to get both but the Spartan Locke statue was taken by somebody else, but at least I got the better of the two! The best part about this was that tonight was the Call of Duty midnight launch. Best midnight launch ever!  :wub:

Try to get involved in https://github.com/, learn to use it, post your code, and have people critique and edit it on their end. (Programming is quite collaborative)
Khan Academy on youtube and The Bad Tutorials as well. There's a huge wealth of resources available.
 
I learned to program in C through my college. It definitely depends on your learning style as well if you need someone to be more hands on with you.

ok all serious now, what i did was i picked a cool technichal term (my name is polyspace everywhere else but i cant change my name here) say for example monospace, then put a cool twist on it. so i changed mono to poly. just make sure it's easily pronouncable or else if you donate to a twitch stream you will get a super akward pronunciation of your name. (xizerz is pronounced scissors btw) hope it helps

Hi, I'm Corwin and I suck at this PR stuff. But what I don't suck at is shooting things out of space, and I am willing to teach you how. Now is your chance to join the squadron that, before long, everyone will wish they could join. Acceptance will be completely free for the time being. We have sixteen spots to fill. As the time passes, free recruitment will be closed. If you accept the invitation, be advised that you are agreeing to setting aside some of your time (TBD but not unreasonably much) for training sessions with me, your squadron mates, as well as the other three Project Eden squadrons, until we turn them all into a truly elite force. Regular non-attendees will be booted and talent will be rewarded and promoted. You will each get the chance to advance to command of your own (four person) wing within the squadron, and eventually a squadron of your own.    
 
 
 
Each squadron will have four Wing Commanders, as chosen by the Squadron Leaders. They have the ability to draft a Wing from the pool of pilots. Pilots are not assigned to a Squadron, although they may indicate a preference.

Wings are composed of four ships, and the Commanding Officer is the Wing Commander who initiated the draft. Wing Commanders may serve as regular pilots, and temporarily relinquish their right to command. They will assume the role of Second in Command, and will obey all orders of the Commanding Officer. They receive priority when drafting pilots from the pool according to seniority.

Squadron Leaders serve as the fifth Wing Commander in their squadron, and retain supreme authority within their squadron. Squadron Leaders may also serve as ordinary pilots, but this is a rare occurrence, typically reserved for training purposes. They receive total priority when drafting pilots from the pool.

I hate that everyone my age is incredibly sensitive, everyone takes it so personally and at that point they won't listen to anyone else. I feel like people aren't as logical and are more emotional than they should be, and that we let a lot of people get away with being unintelligent. I also think we need to stop pushing this no child left behind stuff, some people don't need to go to college and that's OKAY. 

@watts300 basically everything, constantly washing hands and taking showers. For a more extreme example, I don't hardly eat at other peoples' houses unless I know them well enough to know how they clean their dishes. I just have ridiculously high standards and hardly compromise them for something

After trying to think of any healthy addictions I might have I realized I literally do nothing that is healthy (okay, maybe sometimes).

I can't stop [figuratively] eating plain Greek yogurt and sliced apples.  I slice the apple and scoop the yogurt right out of the tub with each slice. I've never had more than 2 in a day, though.  Sooooo good.   It depends on what's cheaper, but it's either granny smith or honeycrisp. 
 
I'm also a runner.  I run five miles every day on a treadmill.  Anywhere from 7.5 - 8 mph, depending on the humidity. There's no end in sight. I've lost 80 lbs this year from running (and diet, believe it or not).  The battery in my bluetooth earbuds is not my best friend right now. 
 
What are you addicted to that's good for you?  <edit> Or maybe at least something that isn't detrimental to your health that you are consistently doing. <end edit>
