Paulenski's Achievements

  1. How high of an overclock did you achieve?
  2. Check my thread for tri-x oc 290x performance, temps, and overclock potential. I tried to compile as much information about the card as I can. Aside from synthetic benches the card is pretty quiet in normal game scenarios, depending how you do your fan profile or use the stock.
  3. 1225 core isn't hard to get on the tri-x, the problem comes more from vrm1 temps that's feeding the extra voltage. It gets hot if your pushing above 1.3-1.4v. My stable oc involves 125mv offset at 1202 core / 50mv aux offset at 1690mem
  4. Not sure if reference boards allow this but on latest AB there's Aux voltage, its related to memory voltage. I can do 1690 mem on Hynix because of it.
  5. I need a larger sample size to get more long-term affects while playing but here's what I got from the results I posted above. Dawnbreaker - VSYNC On Frames Below 50 - 3% of 5 minute bench Frames Below 55 - 13% of 5 minute bench Dawnbreaker - VSYNC Off Frames Below 50 - 2% of 5 minute bench Frames Below 55 - 17.67% of 5 minute bench
  6. Sapphire TRI-X OC 290X Using Trixx for everything except for aux voltage, only AB has control for it. 1202 core 125mv offset, its like 1.25-1.27v, it averages 1.25~ 1690 mem 50mv aux offset 1.047v actual I made a forum thread about the card and its performance http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/103710-sapphire-tri-x-oc-290x-cat-1312-avg-fpstempsoverclock/
  7. I was actually discussing this with a friend today, it only accounted for 5% of the total runtime, and frames below 55 I believe accounted for only 17-18% of the runtime. I'll need to double check in the morning
  8. Card Specs: Stock - 1040 core / 1300 mem / Voltage: Idle .938-.945 / Load 1.125-1.141 Average Other samples on Overclock.net confirm that Sapphire TRI-X uses only Hynix Memory modules (R0C model), can confirm with my own card. Proof of ownership - http://i.imgur.com/jcevDAF.jpg [using from other forum ] Updated photo, moved my audio card to the bottom. http://i.imgur.com/gItT5x5.jpg Valley 1.0 Benchmark Chart: Includes all temps/clocks from benchmark http://i.imgur.com/NIkcc14.png Updated Info: AB allows for AUX Voltage control which is related to the memory voltage, with a +50mv increase I went from a max of 1500 to 1690mhz. Thus also caused a slight increase in VRM2 temp, going from an average of 51-53 to an max of 55C in all benches. Best score: 3297 http://i.imgur.com/O6SKr1I.png [ For this score, I used slightly higher core clocks which required 195mv offset on core for stability and caused 100C VRM1 Temps. Definitely was not ideal or a daily driver] Heaven 4.0 16~ minute loop benchmark Extreme 1080p Fullscreen Sensors/Monitoring: http://i.imgur.com/1uUTvfq.png 1202 core 125mv offset / 1650 (6600) mem aux 50mv offset Fan Profile: 80-83% for first 9~ mins, 83-88% the last 7~ mins GPU Max: 78C (77C average) VRM1 Max: 92C (88-90C average) VRM2 Max: 59C Dunno why I ran this at 1500 Memory but I'll update when I do it with the higher memory clock. Might provide some better numbers. I do have some higher than expected VRM1 temps, I hope to see other samples to make sure my card isn't out of spec. If you guys have any suggestions on what kind of information you want to see from this specific card or how 290X performs under overclocking conditions, just ask. I do plan on bringing up some AC4 numbers and temps.
  9. I'm on the OCN thread too Paulenski Intel 3770k R9 290X @ 1218Mhz / 1690Mhz 78.8 3297 Score
  10. BF3 pricing if purchased new then when DLC first came out and then delayed release of Premium it was actually around $115 (what I paid roughly) BF3 = $60 Back to Karkand = $15 Premium = $40 I figure the pricing for BF4 is much higher BF4 = $70 Premium = $50-60 $120-130 total makes more sense for the $599 price on the 290x thats being spectulated
  11. Woot another great giveaway :D HTC rules, would love to replace my HTC Sensation with one of the newer devices :D https://twitter.com/Paulenski/status/340967412021227520 http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2913566#post2913566
