@leaderroy, that's an awesome idea. Many a prototype has been started with some kind of a foam/wood/cardboard material. In fact, that's how the early 45 Drives' Backblaze pods were designed before we started manufacturing them.

How much woud you charge for shipment of 3U chassie to Poland?

Check locally for sheet metal fabrication places, there are businesses such as Protocase which specialize in this type of work. 

So I’ve been thinking about trying to do one of the smallest multi GPU rigs ever and I have an idea but I’m not sure if it’s posible...
 
can I turn one full pcie 16x slot into two pcie 8x slots?
 
so my plan is to take something similar to the dans case (i will probably make it with protocase or something) witch is an itx case and turn that 16x slot into two 8x slots side by side in the same place ware a duel slot video card would be, i intend to accomplish this by liquid cooling two 1080 ti’s and making them both single slot. But i dont know if i can turn that 16x slot into two 8x slots, that’s the current problem.

• Added Micro ATX boards to the document

• Changed mounting fastener configuration
• Changed PCI slots so they don’t restrict protruding connectors

@Gich165, I can't confirm off the top of my head if we'd be able to do it, as I don't have the specs of the panel (do you have that info? Feel free to post here, or send me a message). We have fiber laser and CNC routers here onsite, so it may be doable. Just can't say for sure until I run it by our engineering team.

Yup I'm working with one of the ladies there now. We're getting my case designed by the team and looking forward to seeing this thing come to life. I doubt anyone's designed something like what I'm doing. Lol

Well, then it seems I have got what I needed, for now at least. It's something to look forward to if the software does in the future get a template that accommodates the ledge for PCI cards to be screwed to. For now, I will have to make do with making my own bracket, but that should not be a big problem.
