Yeah ep 24 is up, pretty sure it's the last one in the series from what I can find. Sadly it's still locked in premium but it should come out this weekend.

Elite14 got a reaction from Anjelllo in Are all first jobs this crapy???
Around November I got a seasonal job at a craft/department store called Joanns where I worked for about 5 weeks. While the store it's self wasn't that bad the managers there where a whole other story. On my first day I show up at 5am (I had the morning shift) and they immediately expect me to start working and know what to do, the only training I had from the day before was where my locker was and how to punch in and out. That was the only "official" training I got, everything else I had to learn on the fly from observing other employees. Every day after that was more or less the same thing. I would show up, punch in and then be told to do something without any explanation on how to do it, or if I had to restock I was given a box and was told to go over to (someplace in the store) and restock.
On the third day we got semi-truck full of product that we had to put away. I got yelled at for doing something wrong and if I tried to respond they would say something like "don't talk like that to me". That was the worse day there because it was absolute chaos and I had no clue of what the hell was going on and no one bothered to explain anything to me.
After that the days slowly got better as I was learning what to do even though the managers where some of the dumbest people I have ever met. Like if you had a task to do you would try and find a efficient way to do it, they on the other hand would chose the most difficult way to do it then get mad at me for trying to do it more efficiently, how she got the job is beyond me.
One week before I got fired I all most got written up for something I had no idea about. When they said they were going to wright me up I said "I have not received any training of any kind, no rules no nothing" there response was "you would have learned this in orientation if you pad attention" I said "I was not put through orientation" and they went "OH.......oh.......(crap we screwed up)" after that she cut my hours and then a week later "laid me off". I have never hated anything more in my life then working there. So are most jobs like that or did I just get super unlucky with my first job? my parents want me to get another job and I know I need to but I'm dreading going through something like that again.

Ok here is GoodByte's secret sauce on how to become a mod. SHHUuut Don't tell any mods!
You need to be of age greater than 13 years old. This is Canada, the forum is in Canada, and so the governmental rules applies. You need to fill in the form 13B yellow on Linus Media Group site. To get this form, you need to fill in 7B Green form. This after the Orange 7B Yellow form, not to be confused with the Orange 7B Yellow form on Yellow paper. The paper of that form is actually Green. And no, its not the 7B Green form mentioned earlier.  The 13B yellow form is to request to be a mod. Never request to be a mod. You need to send a mod, bonus points if its me, at you full expense, a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti reference design or better (backed with multiple reviews. Minus points for using Linus as a source... as it is too easy). The graphics card model changes every now and then without warning. A large water fountain to a mod with installation service, to be place in the front of a mods home (again, bonus points if send to me... hey I don't make the rules...) Larger the water fountain the better. A 8K OLED 32inch wide gamut, with HDR and Nvidia G-Sync support with a programmable 14bit LUT and 12-bit color processor, 1.07 billion color . You can pick the model and brand. Again, this changes without notice. Bonus points if you send it to SansVarnic, but I recommend to send it to me... for complex reasons. Now, after all this is completed within 1 week. your name will be put into a hat, and burned to ashes with the hat. The remains are put into another hat, and then it gets incinerated. Once done, we collect the left overs and put into another hat.. and if we pick anything but dust... and it happens to be your name that is fully and easily readable by me, you MAY be a mod.

It's real easy. we all did this.

so what i think you mean is that the rim is not true, which for lower end bike's is fairly common as long it doesn't move to much it will be fine, but if you want to get it really straight watch this video

yeah i agree with them, even a $100 wont do a whole lot if any. the $40 gpu won't be really any faster then your GTX 6200, I would save your money to get something better down the line. because If it is temporary then just wait, don't spend $80 now just to replace it later

Elite14 reacted to Trixanity in More people than you might think use Bing
Funny thing is that whenever I search via the omnibar (on Edge/Bing that is) for browsers or other software installs on a brand new Windows install it never finds the right results - at least not in the top results. So I usually have to go to google.com to do my search instead and it'll immediately give me the best result. So to lessen my frustration I often have to go to Google, download Chrome and then download the rest because I just can't deal with Bing. If it wasn't so shitty, it could possibly help adoption of both it and Edge.

Elite14 reacted to You_are_a_cunt in Parenting Now Vs Then
    my two cents:
yes, parenting has changed, and that's due to a buttload of factors, including, and not limited to: society, parents' fear of not "becoming their parents" (for varying reasons), peer pressure on kids (if a kid sees another kid rockin' a $1000 phone, it's almost guaranteed the kid's gonna go home, throw a tantrum and demand a $1000 phone. That's always been the case, be it a phone these days or a pair of light-up shoes back in the 80s and 90s), instant gratification, lower parenting age (be it due to lack of education or personal preference).
There's a fuckload of things that basically end up in not-so-good parenting (not necessarily bad parenting).
I'll agree on the paranoia thing. The neighborhood where I currently live is one of the safest ones in the city by many standards (no hobos, not much traffic, clean, lacking hazards and such). Since I live on the ground floor, I hear a lot of mid-20s to early 30s parents dragging their kids inside at 8 or 9 PM (It's summer. Sun's barely going down at those hours) because "night is coming" and "it gets dangerous when it's late". I remember being a kid in the dead of winter at 1 or 2 AM, freezing my ass off in waist-high snow having the time of my life. Now parents will drag their kids indoors at the first sign of slightly colder or warmer weather, blasting them with central heating or air conditioning so they don't "catch a cold".
Carlin had a piece on the subject and I find it to be as accurate today as it was back then.
I remember barely being 7 when I started school. I had a key tied to my neck, the knowledge of where my home and school were and 20 minutes to get from one to the other. I don't recall ever being driven/walked to/from school or anyone ever waiting for me outside once classes were over (with the express purpose of taking me home). My scarred legs and arms (from the usual kid activities in the 90s) aren't pretty, but they sure as hell prove I had a fun childhood outside, with friends that still linger on 20 years later. I knew their names, parents, birthdays, HOME phone numbers, where they lived, when they'd come outside and play and when they'd go home. Today's kids seem to only have virtual friends in <insert some game name here>, rely on facebook (or whatever platform's hip now) for their birthdays and whatnot and figure everyone is a text message away (do kids even know what dialing is?).

And then there's the "old school" parents that had a blast growing up, with fairly strict parents (I'm not talking bootcamp strict) that knew their boundries growing up. Those are the people who will raise awesome kids and not spoiled brats. They'll teach their kids limits, respect, how to work for something and won't just bury them in luxuries they can barely afford.
I'm probably rambling at this point, but my view is that parents are either too young or have no idea how to raise their kids right and that's why the newer generations pretty much suck (except for the kids with awesome parents, but those seem to be too few and far between to even get noticed)

    Update:
well, there are good news and bad news

well lest start with some good stuff first ehh? ok so i got back my R9 270x and my R9 280x that had been out for a bake and have been gone for 4 months now... never doing that again, anyway i have them now so i have better size refrenses for GPUs and i can take the coolers from them and mount on any RX 470 or whatever i get(probably not a 1050TI tho, just the RX cards) and i can turn the cards into powerboards or something unless i find something else to do with them, il probably try to sell the R9 270x seeing as it does work as a display adapter but has some green artifacts, which is better then when i sent it off atleast. the R9 280x is a Sapphire TriX and the cooler is about the lenght of the freaking toaster case but its also a freaking BEAST when it comes to cooling  anyway i have some pictures i can put up later. onto the worse news, the LAN PC has not been sold yet, the dude says he is going to have the money "soon"  and i booted up the motherboard and CPU again and yep, the VCORE reading in the BIOS was 1.72V... wow. i dont know if its the PSU or the motherboard but i wont be using this PSU anyway anymore and the motherboard i can exchange for another identical one that is basically brand new if i want. well thats about it for now, il upload some funny pictures of how massive the TriX cooler is later when i have more time, i hope i can get the money for the LAN PC soon though, seeing as then il just go and buy a 570 probably, as long as its not too long i should be good and as i think i said before, the RX 570 Pulse looks like it should work for me here and that would require little to no further modification to the case.

thats all for now, picture later or something.

I would reconsider, I've lived here for 18 years and I'm moving out to Arizonian because California  is just getting worse and worse, here is why I'm moving
    1. I live in southern California and the temps in summer are 70-110f and winter 35-60f so the weather is nice but there is also smog here
    2. there are 30 million people here and a lot of them are morons, so if you like mexicans who trash stuff and lot of crazy people come on in
    3. East Sac is not a bad place and I would not mind living there but sadly its in California
I'm not saying the places are bad, some of them are quite nice places to live, but there in California and California as a state is going down hill fast. so do some more research before you move here. Why you want to move here? maybe I can help?
