  1. The SSD uses 4 PCI-E gen 2 lanes, and the MoBo is an MSI Z170A Gaming M7
  2. I forgot to mention that I also have a Kingston HyperX Predator M.2 SSd. Will that change anything?
  3. So, Could I possibly run two 980tis in SLI if I also have a wifi card plugged in with a 6700k? I'm confused about this. I now that each card needs at least 8 lanes to work propely, so Could I do this? The Wifi Card is an Asus PCE AC86
  4. I just sent it back to Amazon and ordered a new one. I called MSI tech support and after telling them what had happened, they just told me that it sounded like a dead MoBo. So I sent it back. Hopefully the replacement one works.
  5. Not really, just trued ti see if it would post I would have only been on for a few seconds.
  6. Installed a cooler, got the same exact result. What now genius?
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88xIDUb7xeQ&feature=youtu.be THis is what is going on with my board. Can anyone figure out a solution? Or is my MoBo just DoA
  8. I don't have any drives plugged in. I don't even have a case yet. I just plugged a few things into the MoBo to see if it would post.
  9. Here's a video that should give people an idea of what's going on with this board.
  10. I tried it with onboard graphics, same result. Nothing happened. No postcodes were displayed.
  11. Tried all of that. Used onboard display, only one stick of ram, no GPU, still nothing. It looks like the MoBo is getting power, but it's not turning on.
  12. I absolutely cannot check to see if that is the problem. When I push the power button, nothing happens, I can't get into the BIOS.
  13. I just got an MSI Z170A Gaming M7 ATX Motherboard and tried to see if it would POST. I installed my CPU, GPU, Ram and hooked everything up to a Corsair HX850i. When I did, the power and reset buttons lit up, as did several lights on the board and I made sure that the monitor was on, but when i pushed the button, nothing happened. The 8-pin and 24-pin connectors were all plugged in, and so was the video card. No postcodes were displayed, just... nothing. I double and triple-checked to make sure everything was plugged in correctly, and I can't figure out what was wrong with it. I tried to look in the user manual but couldn't find anything that would help me out. Can anyone help me out with this? Or do I need a new MoBo?
  14. SO I'm planning on building a PC, and I wanted to know if it was possible to use an M.2 SSD and a normal Hard Drive. I ask because when I use PCpartspicker I get a compatibility notification that the M.2 drive will disable my SATA ports, is there any way to use both> or should I just use a regular SSD?\ PCpartspicker list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/KhaosKyuubi/saved/MmqMnQ
