I find it interesting that a ton of people are suddenly blowing up about multi core turbo with Coffee Lake when it's been around for a couple of generations.
A bunch of z170/z270 boards had it, but no one was talking about it then but now all of a sudden they are.

MEC or multicore enhancement, on the i7-8700k (default mode), locks all cores at 4.7GHz. I believe that this feature can be configured on ASUS motherboards. And yes, this feature has been around for a couple of generations, and I think people have finally realised what performance increase this has, and it explains why the benchmarks were different in lots of other youtube videos.
AdoredTV is an interesting guy. It can't be denied that he does some pretty deep diving on some stuff, but he's also amd biased. He claims that Nvidia and Intel aren't bad companies in some vids, then comes around and publishes videos like the history of Intel video.
I stay subbed to him because it's sometimes interesting to see what he has to say, but I always have to hand that mindset of "this is from an amd biased person" whenever I watch his videos.
